Multi-link Monday: Which book are you?

Let's start off the week right with five fun time-wasting Web sites.

Which book are you? Take this fun (and short!) quiz, and if you don't like your results, go back and change one answer and it will take you through an entirely different path. Apparently I'm "Watership Down."

• Rolling Stone often features controversial list of the best bands ever. But here's one writer's list of the top 10 fictional bands of all time. I'm glad he included The Rutles and Billy and the Boingers ("Bloom County" fans are nodding in recognition about now), but as much as the #1 band is a campy classic, did it really deserve the top spot? Above Spinal Tap? (Via Metafilter.)

• Teen heartthrob Bobby Sherman has built a scale model of Disneyland in his back yard. Apparently the bluest skies he's ever seen are not in Seattle, but in Anaheim. (Via Danny's Land.)

• Here's a link for cat-lovers -- and possibly, for cat-haters. Japan really knows how to pamper and humiliate its pets at the same time. I think if I dressed my cat up as Hello Kitty he would wait until I was fast asleep and then kill me.

• This week's reader-submitted link is from Tanya in California. She says: "Here's an addicting site that I love. ... Remember 'sand art' from when we were kids? This is very similar, and very cool to play. Have fun!" Don't miss the cool gallery of art that's already been made.

Yes, The Electric Mayhem deserves to be No. 1 ... they did imprint rock n roll on a whole generation (and more), plus Janis was a much better role model than Josie and the Pussycats ever were for girls who wanted to join a band.

P.S. According to the book quiz ... I'm Lolita! :ox
Wow...the book quiz is a blast, but a little disturbing.  By just answering one question differently I was swapped between Vonnegut's "Mother Night" and "Anne of Green Gables".  I'm not sure I want to picture what a combination of those two would really be like!
The book quiz is awesome. I am "Anne of Green Gables"! That is hilarious as it was my favorite story and character growing up. Even today I about had a heart attack when I found the movie in my local store.
Since I just watched Animal House again, I was disappointed not to see Otis Day & The Knights on the bands that never existed list. And actually, "Steel Dragon" from Rock Star wasn't that bad! They hire worse bands in local casinos all the time!!!!
Siddhartha...hmmm.  The book quiz seems a bit broken.  How can I answer "Yes" to having a specific set of rules, but then get "You simply don't know what to believe"?  Unless, of course, my specific rule is to question everything... :D

Lolita here, with a dash of Hobbit.
The book quiz isnt insightful....its silly.  I am ALSO Ann of Green Gables.  Didn't know there were so many of us!
Ha! I didn't expect that. I'm The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, which is dead accurate. I'm even reading it right now, for the umpteenth time or so. My wife says I can quote something from Hitchhiker's Guide for any occasion. Among my favorite books of all time are also the Anne of Green Gables series.
I thought the band list was rather non-notable until I read number one.  WTG!
What? No Steel Dragon? STAND UP AND SHOOOOOOUUUUUUT!
I'm the dictionary, for crying out loud.  More proof that I really am as boring as I think I am.
Wow!  The book quiz is awesome!  I'm really surprised and pleased by my book!!  It's very fitting : O  After only a few questions!  Ha!

Adrianne
thanks for linking to our piece on the fake bands!  We stand by Electric Mayhem as #1!!
This was a very surprsingly accurate book quiz thingy. i love to read and identify very strongly with the author of the book i am and the description they gave: Gabriel Garcia Lorca: 100 years of solitude. However my favorite book of his is the General in His Labyrinth.
i think this wasa amazing! very cool!
The book quiz has ma as Siddhartha, wicked close!
Love the book quiz!!  I'm either Catch-22 or The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe with one different answer.  Both completely (and scarily) accurate, though.
The book quiz was dead on - Siddhartha was amazingly dead-on.
YAY! I'm a dictionary. On the other hand, what does that really say about me??
I'm Brave New World. How strange that I was just summarizing this novel to my husband the other day and saying that it really influenced the way I look at the world, at times with absolute horror. Creepy.

And Electric Mayhem all the way, baby!
Definitely YEAH! to Electric Mayhem as #1. What mere mortal can compete with Animal who took rock star misbehavior to a new level? As for the book quiz, apparently I am 'Prufrock and Other Observations' by T.S. Eliot which makes me now wonder how much therapy is going to cost.
like  a few others, the book quiz says I'm the dictionary too... kind of strange, but I'm a bit of a writer, so I guess it makes sense
I agree with Stacey from CT.  I was wondering where Steel Dragon was to!
I am "Babar the King."
