Wow, you know I never thought about the tax costs incurred with winning a home.  I guess there really is nothing for free...

The family in Ohio has had similar problems.  First, the fact that the house is not in line with those in their neighborhood.  I remember Bob Vila confirming this with people before starting projects.  A mansion cannot be on the same block with cottages and expect to see high resale value.  Second, a house built in a week is not well-built.  The family in Ohio has had very costly repairs, including steps that collapsed very soon after filming.  The show might have good intentions, but I believe there is an expression about those...
