They canceled my show!

OK, the news is coming out about which TV shows will be returning in the fall ( "Reaper," hooray!) and which will not ( "Jericho," and it sounds like peanuts won't save it this time).

I'll post more info about various shows here, and of course we'll cover them in the TV news section of msnbc.com.

But let's use the comments section to discuss...which shows are you happy to hear are coming back? Did any of your favorites get canceled? And are there any shows out there that you'd secretly love to see canceled? (Am I the only one who's shocked that "The Bachelor" keeps on keeping on? At least this next season will be "The Bachelorette.")

I'm interested in the new incarnation of "The Mole".

PLEASE get rid of Big Brother.  I'm Begging.
I'm really bummed about Women's Murder Club.. I really like Angie Harmon.
I'm afraid New Amsterdam isn't coming back and I REALLY liked that show - great combination of history, mystery and romance.  And my spousal liked it too.
Womens Murder Club was canceled?
Also bummed about Women's Murder Club.  Great show.
I'm so glad Medium is coming back.  I love the family relationships most and feel they have a lot more to cover.  I'm overseas so I haven't seen this season yet (or the last part of last season), I can't wait for it to be out in DVD!!!  I wonder if it's on at my next post, Australia!!
I love the show 'Medium'.  Now that I said that, I just want to say that, realistically speaking, Allison might sleep better at night if she wouldn't wear so many clothes to bed.  My goodness - that woman goes to bed dressed like she is going to make a midnight run to the 7-11.  Hasn't she ever hear of a night gown?!  Am I the only one that notices this?! But I really love the show!

Another fav show of mine is Dexter.  Has anyone heard if CBS will run the second season (which has already appeared on Showtime - but I did not see it because my cable subscipt. expired)?!
has anyone heard the fate of moonlight?
tealv8: Moonlight has been cancelled.
I'm glad Chuck is coming back. And Scrubs.
It so totally sucks (no pun intended) that Moonlight has been cancelled.  It breaks my heart, really.  That show is a very good show.  It had so many places that it could go and was going.  All sci fi shows never really get a fair shake because they are sci fi.  New Amsterdam, Bionic Woman, and Journeyman are all examples besides Moonlight for just this season.  The writer's strike didn't help either.  I'm really glad Reaper and Pushing Daisies are getting a chance though.  That's a bright spot.  I wish I could start my own network and keep all the good stuff on that gets cancelled by the other networks.  A network by the fans, for the fans.
I am furious that Moonlight is gone!!!  That was a great show and we watched every single episode.  CBS is nuts.  Hopefully someone else will pick it up???
Kind of bummed about Moonlight.  Not the greatest show on TV, but worth watching and entertaining.
i can't believe moonlight is canceled!...i love that show it is one of the shows i have to watch every week!obviously there aren't enough people watching it for it to get canceled...if people would watch it once they would like it but most probably never gave it a chance.
I can't believe they are even thinking about canceling Moonlight and Friday Night Lights!!! Who on earth makes these dumb decisions?  We record both so we won't miss any shows.
I found this and hope it helps.

I really wish they would stop with The Batchelor, The Batchelorette and all of the other reality crap that is out there!  Enough already.  Whatever happened to Pushing Daisies?  I enjoyed that.  I've heard that Men in Trees is gone.  As long as Criminal Minds comes back, I'm fine
I'm glad to hear FNL received a reprieve - love the show!  Still worried about Prison Break - I don't think it's looking good.  Is there any concrete news on that?  I hate when things just end without any kind of closure.  Same thing with Jericho.  I actually just started watching it again after they brought it back and now it's over?  CBS really didn't give it a fair shot.  Maybe if the networks would run marathons of some of these shows on sister cable stations, people would get involved in the shows and start watching.  Sometimes you just don't want to come in on a show that's been on awhile.  I don't know, but it's worked with me a few times.
I can't beleive they cancelled Shark i loved that show they need to cancel survior and big brother and bring back moonlight
I am disappointed "Medium" is coming back. I stopped watching after the 12th episode in a row where she whined about not asking for her powers.
Journeyman was one of the best shows on TV! There must be a dozen stupid reality shows that could be cancelled instead!Maybe the SciFi station can pick it up! Speaking of SciFi, what has happened to Dresden Files, that is a Great! show too. :(
I really enjoyed Moonlight.  It was different then other programs out there and fit so well between Ghost Whisper and Numbers.
I will truly miss Women's Murder Club.  I think it was a wonderful show that got stuck with a horrible time slot.  It was one of the few shows that I watched.
I'm very disappointed that ABC cancelled Men in Trees and Womens Murder Club.  I liked October Road as well, which is also cancelled.  It's surprising to me, that most of the new shows that ABC has listed for the new fall lineup, are reality/game shows.  The writers strike is over!  I don't really get why they aren't bringing back these wonderful scripted shows!  They are, in my opinion, much more entertaining than these mindless reality shows!  They say it's all about the ratings, but it doesn't help that they are always shuffling the shows around, so you can never count on a consistent time to expect your favorite shows!  I know many viewers haven't come back to watching the shows, but I think they should have given the shows a chance in the fall, when new episodes traditionally get aired.  People will be ready to see new shows in the fall, and there would be enough advertising time for people to actually find out that new episodes are going to be aired.  Advertising for recent episodes of these cancelled shows has been dismal at best. You would think that they would do this to appease to the segment of the audience that likes traditional shows, especially considering the lack of new scripted shows that they have planned.

And if I have to see one more ad for that disgusting, moronic show The Bachelor, I am going to throw my TV out the window!
Does anyone know if Dirty, Sexy Money is coming back?
All of those Reality TV shows neet to go... I am so sick of them... Give me a good sitcom or drama or even another CSI  the last few years tv shows have just gone down hill.... Criminal Mind's is a great show, NCIS is a great show... give us more of them...
We dont need survivor, Living in this day and age, we are all Great Survivor's....
CBS and NBC wake up!  You cancel Shark, and Womens Murder Club, but you keep Big Brother, Survivor, Deal or No Deal?  Enough reality!  I watch TV to get away from the reality I live all day.
No, not Womens Murder Club, thats one of the best shows.
SHARK WAS CANCELLED?!?!?  "Long Island, NY" is right on with the 'wake up!' comment.  I'm SO tired of reality television - I recommend everyone rent the movie Idiocrasy and see if you don't think we're on that path.  Too bad it wasn't made with better promotion - it was surprisingly good.
I'm disappointed that Women's Murder Club and Shark were cancelled. However, I'm glad CSI: Miami and NY,
Pushing Daisies,Criminal Minds, Numb3rs, NCIS, The Closer, Monk, and Law & Order - all 3 are renewed.
I'm a law drama & mystery show fan.

I wish some of those reality shows were cancelled - Let's be selfish, cruel, insensitive, egotistical people - that's how to achieve your personal goals.

I enjoy Supernanny and Nanny 911 because they give advice firmly, gently, and kindly. They also show what they mean: chore chart, "time out place", games, etc. I also enjoy Extreme Makeover: Home Edition because it shows kids what can happen when everyone works together, using their skills and talents and freely donating items and time.

I like game shows: Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?, Don't Forget The Lyrics, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire - ones that make you think. Please get rid of pure greed games such as Deal Or No Deal!

Finally I wish those extremely violent cartoons and children's shows would disappear!!!

Questions to TV Executives:

Do you actually watch these so-called "quality shows" you put on our TVs? Do you actually listen to and really consider viewers' reactions and opinions?

Most importantly,do you think about the messages you are sending, particularly to the kids and other people who take things literally?

i will miss Shark and especially WOmens Murder CLub. They were some of the best shows on television but both were given bad time slots and were switched around too many times. I will miss them very much
