Canceled 'Moonlight' may live again

I asked readers to share thoughts on the canceled shows they're already missing. The two that have turned up the most in your comments so far as "Women's Murder Club" and "Moonlight."

On Monday, ABC confirmed that "Women's Murder Club," based on the incredibly popular James Patterson books, was indeed canceled.

But is there still hope for vampire P.I. Mick St. John and "Moonlight"? CBS announced yesterday that the show was canceled. But later that same day, Nikki Finke's Deadline Hollywood had this entry, in which she says "I've just been told by an insider that "there is a chance, only a chance" that Media Rights Capital which will be programming Sunday's two hours on the CW "may elect to take Moonlight as one of those two hours"."

Finke even says that the "Moonlight" sets, which apparently were scheduled to be torn down, are getting a reprieve at least until Friday. Readers flooded her blog with comments supporting the show. So we shall see. Like Mick St. John, the show itself might not be quite dead yet.

HOW could they cancel Moonlight?  It was a GREAT SHOW!  We needed another show in the vein of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, with sexy supernatural creatures and so on, in my opinion.  Although I must say; Buffy was on a major network and got moved to what was then the UPN network or whatever it was called and has gained a huge following as a result, so if that happens, it might not be all bad I suppose.  At least it would give me an excuse to quit watching the other networks and actually give me something I'd like to watch on the weekends.  If CBS HAD to cancel it... I'd be pleased to see it crop up on another network, and I would be a faithful watcher, trust me.  Long live Mick St. John!
I just learned that Las Vegas was cancelled.  I thought it stopped because of the strike.  How dare they cancel a show and leave the viewers hanging like that.  It is a great show with well developed and complex characters.  It just makes me more determined to stay away from network television altogether.
I really hope that the CW will pick up Moonlight, its my favorite show & I feel that CBS showed a considerable disregard for viewers opinions by dropping it.
I cannot believe Moonlight was cancelled.  It has everything a woman loves in a show: romance, sexy star, exciting storylines, etc.  It has become my very
favorite show.  I feel CBS is making a huge mistake.
I would love it if some other network picked it up.
I never miss an episode and am looking forward to getting the first season on DVD.
I miss Carnvale on HBO.  They ended it too soon and the story seemed to be cut short.
I have just about quit watching network TV. They keep on canceling shows with interesting storylines and characters that are easy to watch and replacing them with some silly reality show or highbrow drama. Moonlighting, Women's Murder Club, Shark, and Las Vegas were all on my Tivio list to record every week.
