I was SO disappointed. He was one of the most loved characters off of CSI. I hadn't read about him leaving before watching the show tonight so I wasn't expecting it, but I just knew that something horrible was going to happen at the end. He was the pure definition of someone who lives in Las Vegas yet he has made so many turn-arounds. Not to mention him and Catherine's, somewhat sexual tension, always kept me interested.

Nope. That episode did it for me. I'm officially washing my hands of CSI. First they lose Sidle, and Grissom will only be in "limited episodes" next season and now they pop off Warrick? That's just wrong. The whole series has lost so much momentum this season...it's like watching a favorite wool sweater unravel before your eyes. I think I'll start using that hour a week to catch up on mending my socks.

I am so disappointed that they killed off Warrick. I really thought after being on the show for so long they would send him off with a bit more class--instead he was acting like some crazed crackhead. Agree with the others - there was an edge and a soulfulness about Warrick that's missing in the other characters, who are, somewhat dull by comparison.
As for the horrible ending, once you saw how everyone was leaving through the restaurant door one by one, you knew he wasn't going to make it.
Best wishes to Dourdan, hope he'll straighten out and give us more fine performances.

I too was VERY upset by Gary Dourdan's character "Warrick" being killed off in such a manner. Another poster said it, they should have left more sketchy details to arise a comeback or hospitalization recovery or SOMETHING! While I will also miss Gary Dourdan's enrichment of CSI episodes, the ending was appropriate. Tragedy and injustice happen. In the real world of the Las Vegas valley, our police seem to be more trigger-happy than in most places and political and administrative corruption is still a significant problem.

I think Warrick was (is?) a very important member of the CSI team because he showed that CSIs are not perfect crime solvers. They're human and make mistakes. Warrick was an officer dedicated in his fieldwork but he had some mishaps. I was, however, expecting Dourdan to leave the show but I was not expecting them to kill his character. When I heard Dourdan had been arrested at Coachella for drug possession I felt so disappointed in him. On CSI his character dealt with drug problems. Why would he put himself in that position in real life? CSI has already lost Jorja Fox who was such a great asset to CSI and CBS. Now Gary Dourdan is leaving. Who next?

I was shocked when Warrick was shot. I saw it coming the moment he was walking to his car in the dark alley. I disliked the entire epi. They had restored Warrick's past demons and then resurrected them. Warrick desperately fought for Nick, but the CSIs seemed rather low key in fighting for Warrick. The one thing I liked about the epi was Ecklie's compassion. I can't believe CSI would dispose of such a central character in such an aggressive manner. Sarah left with grace and elegance, after her trauma. Why couldn't they just have suspended or terminated Warrick and let him ride off into the sunset without a violent ending. As my favorite character, this epi sealed the deal in losing my viewership. CSI will not be the same without Warrick. I'll miss Grissom, Nick and Greg. Watch - this was a way to promote that horrid Hodges (snake) character.

I have been a loyal fan to CSI and will continue to watch it. That being said, I was severely disappointed with the season finale. While it was great that Gil and the team discovered Warrick was being framed, they should have just fired him if he wasn't coming back next year. The ending was too predictable once they started showing the diner and the music played. Foreboding and obvious that SOMETHING was going to happen to SOMEONE. Especially since Warrick had said there had to be someone higher up and it wasn't just the missing cop deciding who to kill. Like other shows of this nature (e.g., CSI Miami, Without A Trace, Cold Case), as much as I love them, I'm really getting tired of something happening to the main characters. There are plenty of other cases to solve that don't directly involve them (e.g., they go missing, get killed, held hostage, etc.), and the show can still be successful (i.e., Law & Order). Are we really running out of criminal scenaris?

I too was disappointed with the way Warrick's departure played out. I had read he might want out after this season and then the drug charges that have followed, but I hoped he would change his mind.
The writers strike certainly didn't help CSI's season as it seemed so disjointed, and it appears that the writers came back in a sour mood.
I can't think of any shows that have major cast changes that continue to succeed, because people begin to identify, admire, and like the shows as they are. Changes are often hard to accept. Another example is Law and Order. It isn't going to be the same without Jesse Martin, in addition to the other changes it has gone through this season.
While we all wish for good things for Gary Dourdon in the future, it would appear that his departure from CSI will have a lasting impact on that show's future.

I notice two patterns: One- if an unlikely romance occurs, you can be sure someone is on their way out. And if you really take a close look, the deeper the 'romantic' relationship, the more likely it is that the person will be on their way out. Sarah and Grissom were undercover lovers. Sara was allowed to leave gracefully. Warrick unexpectantly showed up one day with a wife and a troubled marriage at that. It was completely unnecessary. Then the CSI writers almost blew it big time by implying Warrick and Catherine had a thing for each other. Puhlease!!! As far as I am concerned, none of the CSI staff (on any of the shows) should have love interests. They should, in my opinion, work 24-7 just to satisfy my viewing pleasure.

The other pattern is how the black characters seem to leave the show under some cloud of suspicious activity and/or some unpleasant circumstance. Gary Dourdan's character is involved in a murder and gets ___ (don't want to reveal spoiler). The son of Kandi Alexander's character from CSI-Miami was involved with drug dealers. Jesse Martin's character from Law and Order was involved in a murder and cover-up. Give me a break. Can't they ever just get promoted, hit the lottery, or get a spin-off show?

Aw heck - maybe we will seem Jesse, Gary and Kandi all together in the Marvin Gaye movie. I hear that's why Jesse Martin left L&O.

Not meaning to cause any trouble here, but both Sidle and Warrick chose to leave the show, they weren't "killed off" or run out of town by the show itself-that was how the show chose to portray their departures. While I do agree with those of you who are disappointed in the diminishing cast of the show, we can't hold the producers or directors responsible for the choices the actors make.

Why mess with the exquisite chemistry created by the cast? Warrick is one of the best young actors to come along in YEARS. We survived the loss of Sidle because she could be in the wings, but killing Warrick? Contrivances aside, I applaud the fact that they finally had the guts to kill off Warrick. Too many times actors who leave a show get transfered, take a job in another city, run away due to pressure, or some other lame reason. To kill off a character is final for most shows, soap operas aside. It brings more of a sense of closure for the viewer. Plus it opens up more storylines for the writers. Just think of the vengence the CSI will want to seek next season.

I personally loved this show. I like this actor, but I had read (even before) his drug charge he wanted to leave the show. Why not, he's a great actor, and will do well wherever he goes. While I am sorry to see Gary Dourdan leave the show, the episode was excellent. It is a shame the actor has gotten himself in the trouble he has. That is not the fault of the "Powers That Be" at CBS or the show itself iteself. I am looking forward to seeing some excellent shows as Katherine, Nick, Grissom and the rest of the team deal with the aftermath of his death. It is a chance to see some fine acting, and sets up next season for them to go after the undersheriff.

I've been a huge fan of this show since week one back eight years ago. I have purposely avoided scheduling classes and work so I would have my one hour a week of ME time... CSI time... This season has just totally ruined it for me. It wasn't that strong to begin with, with them trying to find Sara, then Sara leaving the show... several episodes that were very weak... then the writer's strike... then a couple episodes becoming the "Hodges show"... now Warrick! This show has just gone to hell in a handbasket. I'm really pissed because this was the ONE TV show I watched. So now I don't know what to do. I know it's "just" a TV show and all, but CSI has lost one of its biggest fans, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Wow!. I hadn't heard the bit about Grissom only being in "limited" episodes next season. With that and Warrick gone it sounds like CSI is in for an anti-climatic end down the line. I really loved this show. This spin-offs are ok, but the aren't CSI. I will watch it till it dies but I'm pretty sad about losing the principles. Shows rarely recover from these things.

First of all, no one knows if Warrick is dead. They intentionally left it open. The first shot was a through-and-through to the neck. You couldn't see clearly where the second shot was. It is quite possible he could survive - especially in television. However, that being said, he didn't sign a new contract and the drug charges (in real life) don't bode well. Still, he could live and make a guest appearance or two. But live or die, I'm still watching. The show is way to good to stop watching.

Although I am sad at the possibility that Warwick is gone forever from the show this is a chance for things to be shaken up a bit on CSI. As I have seen it mentioned else ware this show has been on the air for eight years. That is a long run and for them to only have lost two of the main actors that is not bad as far as odds go. Also Dourdan does have some personal issue right now and the show may have not had a choice but to cut him lose. I hope the writers for CSI take this and run with it. I am very disappointed. Although it is to be said he has some serious problems, why not give him a chance to get hisself together. Leave an open door for a return just incase. I feel like someone kicked me in the stomach. What is even worse is knowing that the first episode of next season (and maybe several episodes) will have the CSI team "dealing with" Warrick's death. How emotionally wrenching! I don't know if I'll want to watch Catherine and Nick's grieving (Grissom will be upset but will be stoic about it). I understand the emotional power of why they killed him off, I just don't think I'll want to watch the aftermath of his death for the CSI team. As much as I hate to see Warrick leave the show, the recent news about Gary Dourdan has pointed that way so I expected there to be some plot devise to ensure his character's exit. What I found interesting is that we saw the Undersheriff shoot him from the right side of the car, but the bullet wound was on the left side of his neck - leaving a huge mystery to begin the next season with.

I'm a little torn on it. I hated that it happened, even though I've never been a Warrick fan. To have that happen just when he's deciding to turn his life around, by someone that he knew and trusted professionally, just a short distance from safety was heartbreaking to watch.

This was my favorite CSI, but I too am upset that the actors are one by one being eliminated. The reason viewers watch programs is to see the actors! Roles are created and developed over time and fans are born. Maybe it is time to end the show!
All CSI programs have adapted a story line that the actors, one by one, must develope a 'dark side'. They no long wear the 'white hats', instead they have 'gray hats' which have not been very comforting. CSI programs were most interesting to watch when it was more about technology than who did what in the off time.
It would be refreshing IF we could get back to the original CSI concept of HIGH DEF Technology! Don't assume the elimination of actors don't matter to the fans, because U are wrong!

Considering Gary Dourdan's real life problems, this ending is not too surprising. Looking back with 20/20 hindsight, one can see that his appearances has been declining but this fact has been obscured by the ensemble nature of the show. Killing Warrick Brown rather than firing him is more dramatic and sets up the first episode of the season. The death fits the character as Brown has a history of self destructive behavior starting with the first season. It is too bad that the behavior is mirrored in real life as well by Dourdan.

I'm way too attached to this show (watching since the pilot episode) but now after reading, I realize that I'm not alone and in good company with the sentiments expressed about the characters. This feeling is reminiscent of those felt when I was a sophomore and junior in high school and college and my upperclassmen friends moved on. I guess things are no different in TV land, although I feel that make believe should have some sort of constant (queue violins and kleenex). Warrick will be greatly missed, as is Sidle. Writers are going to have to bring their A game to keep this one running without those two.

This was an awesome finale.... It just adds suspense for next season while we watch all of the CSI's trying to catch Warricks Killer. Gary Dourdan was leaving the show and now after him getting caught passed out in his car on as many narcotics possible, it is very doubtful that he would be able to return for a long time. Overall, the episode was brilliant in how it tied up so many previous episodes while leaving it open as to how that particular storyline will eventually resolve. Likewise, it's time for new personalities to enter the program so that there will continue to be surprises and continued good storylines.

Frankly, I anticipate the bad cop getting caught and wacked next season with the Under Sheriff being found out in the season following that. Of course, this could permit CSI to have an episode or two with Warrick's ghost trying to lead one of the CSI's (current or new) to the solution of his murder seeing as the Under Sheriff has too much inside information and the CSI's might be hindered by their own department rules.

I wasn't too surprised though: Bruckheimer has a penchant for resorting to violent ways of deleting cast members. Why can't there ever be just a happy season finale for these guys? Every single one of them has been messed with. What kind of vendetta is out for them? It's sad to see him possibly go, but with him just being arrested in real life it didn't seem like the producer's wanted that talk on them. I did think though that his car would blow up like the ending of New York Undercover but not with him being shot by their own sneaky sly boss. It'll be interesting to see next year. I have read on several sites that Warrick will be popping up as a special guest on CSI every once in a while, so he is not dead, I don't think.

We also need to remember it was his decision just as it was Jorja Fox's not to come back to the show.

CSI is a great show, the chemistry of the characters was great but so was the chemistry on ER and it is still alive and kickin so let's not write it off just yet.

CSI is a great show and I for one will be watching next season which seems so far away right now,but regardless I will watch and support the show that made the name of the characters and the people who played them famous.Life is about changes and that is what is happening with CSI, it is changing and if those changes do not take then CSI will be gone.....forever....good-bye science, good-bye characters.

I think that it would be a shame to base our like or dislike of a show on one or two characters, people move on....that is what we do...we will miss them but they have reruns for those who need a Sara or Warrick fix.

I will always be a die hard fan of science...just call me a geek!

I am torn up about the ending--I did not want Warrick to be whacked, and that second shot -- Oooh that one hurt! The writing was brilliant. Everything turned out okay, everyone together smiling and telling Warrick how much they care. The writers let us breathe a sigh of relief and then ..... good show, isn't that what writers are suppose to do??

I am done with this show...I watched it always & reruns too. Ok, if he couldn't rmbr killing the mob guy, why didn't they check is blood at that time? Why the hell would he park in a dark alley away from that dinner? I loved him on the show & to be honest, HATED the ending - it bothered me as I slept. How the hell are they gonna figure out who the killer was, if he only knuckled the window- though being the window was done, they would conclude that he rolled it down for someone he knew. Wow!! What a set-up for next season. I'm with Charles from Morristown, he could still be alive and Nick could save the day. We didn't really see what part of his body was hit by the other bullet. They did say in April that Warrick could have brief appearances next season. Maybe they are still negotiating on his contract. I have been and will always be a fan. Can't wait for next season!!!

I was so horrified. I just keep turning my head as he was being shot. I really hope that they find a way for him to survive. I know a shot to the head and the neck is usually fatal, but hey, its tv. I was soooooooooo disappointed with how they ended the show! OMG, how could they do that to Warrick! If he was leaving, why not make it a nice way. I am a loyal CSI fan and will continue watching it. I thought it was a perfect ending to the season. You never know what will happen, they may have him in a coma in critical condition or hide him away letting viewers believe he is dead , until he staightens out his personal life.It was a classic cliffhanger, hey Sarah was left for dead, but returned and left with dignity, maybe he will too.What everyone needs to realize is, these actors are real people with real problems and have other goals too, some people don't stay at the same job or live in the same house forever, actors are no different, they have real lives.I hope gary gets his life together, he's a great actor. Whether anyone wants to admit it or not, if he really does die, he is going out on top of one of the highest rated shows ever, just like Sarah, can't beat that. I for one will continue to watch the show, with sadness of characters leaving, but for all of you who say you will never watch the show, read everything, they are replacing Sarah's character next season and do have a character to replace Warrick, but his replacement is an idea at the moment , nothing is set in stone. If you are truely loyal watchers, give the show a chance, and see what happens. You wouldn't quit your job because one of your favorite co-workers left, or stop speaking to your sister or brother because of their significant other would you? Maybe some would, that just shows how shallow you are. Again classic cliffhanger and an excellent show.

Well, I am sad to see him leave and though I'd heard he wouldn't be back next season didn't see that graphic ending (though my son predicted it).

I did hear that Sidle may be coming back next year, so maybe this will be the storyline they use to bring her back.

I will never give up on CSI because I love this show. I will miss Warrwick and wish he could come back but don't see how that is possible now, but never say never on TV (maybe it was just a dream--remember Bobby Ewing on Dallas).

I thought it was fantastic. I will miss Warrick. But it was beautifully written show. The ending wrenched tears from my eyes. The under sheriff was a nail biting surprise. This is the first CSI in a long long time that I really felt and thought about after I watched it.

I knew Gary was NOT coming back next season but I really didn't think they'd kill off his character. I do think it was the best episode to date, tho. The shock of how they killed him off has been haunting me tho. OMG!!! How sad to see the restored, relieved remarkable Warrick gunned down by one of the supposed 'good guys'. Damn scarey place, that Las Vegas. Before I realized it, I was crying my eyeballs out. How close I have grown to the characters of CSI. It was an eyeopener in so many ways..... I can already see Grissom leading the other CSI's into the church, with Sara on his arm. Gary Dourand chose to leave CSI on his own....he wanted to leave to persue "other" possibilites...he has roles in upcomming movies plus the drug charges...so stop comming down on the writers and realize that he is a big boy who decided to seal his fate by leaving a show such as this. As for Sidle...glad she is gone, she was so boring...who the heck cares if she and grissom were dating, the storyline was just weird at times. I always had a creepy feeling about the under-sheriff, and I wasn't surprised that Warrick got the boot - I'm sorry, but somebody needs to sit these actors down and explain to them that the laws of the land and rules of the road apply to them too - even if they are on a hit TV show!

Even though it's sad to see "old favorites" go - I'm really ampped up to see what kind of fresh blood they bring in next season. Think of all the possibilities: They will have a lot of internal tension and paranoia, knowing there's a mole who has just killed one of their own...but not knowing who it is. The new people (whoever they are) may be innocents - or they may be pawns of the undersheriff. Grissom and Katherine may get together to share their grief and it could lead to something more...which would complicate Grissom's long-distance relationship with Sara....Infinite new scenarios come to mind!

I did not like the death of Warrick. It seems we have enough of reality these days staring us in the news. I wanted him to survive...it wasn't much to ask. Now, I know that Gary Dourdan was arrested for drug charges. I also know if he enters a drug treatment facility, he will do no time. I would hope that his personal life gets better. He is a great actor and let's face it folks, CSI is nearing the end. You can't lose Jorja Fox and then Gary Dourdan in less than a year and expect the show to survive. I haven't even mentioned that William Petersen is only going to be there for part of next season. I would like to make this appeal to the writers and producers as well as to Gary, Warrick deserved better. As I saw it, one shot was fired, striking Warrick in the neck....survival can occur....I did not think there was a second shot only that as we saw the slow motion of Warrick's reaction, the camera zoomed around for us to see the shot occur. See, there is room for Warrick to survive and let the man walk off into the sunset....we get enough of reality every day when we turn on the news. I know good people die and this is a sick world but did we have to see a good man like Warrick shot down? I don't think so. If you wanted high ratings you could have had Grissom preparing to sneak off and meet Sara for perhaps a honeymoon....hint hint hint hint.

I will miss warrick, but my heart breaks for Gary dourdan. I think the show had no choice, he was caught with drugs and will probably go to jail in real life, so i would think that he may have been bringing his problems on the set due to his drug use. and now with jail in his future, the shows producers may just have said enough is enough and they did what they had to do...we all need to remember these are just charecters, they are not real and as real people they have real problems and drug use is so pervasive. so clam down everyone, this programs direction was a realistic business decision..
Most of all I hope Gary gets himself together and realizes he had a real good job on csi, and maybe he will make a come back in his own life, lets also remeber that is the most important thing here. All the best to you Gary!!!!!

After reading a lot of the postings I must retract my farewell. The bullet did exit on the opposite side of his neck and we never did see where that second shot went. He slumped in the seat but he could have just passed out from the loss of blood and consciousness from the first shot. Also, has anyone tho't that maybe the lack of storyline was the reason for Gary's dispression - therefore the using of drugs? Don't blame it all on the CBS powers-that-be or writers. Not having the work or being used to your potential can play havoc on ones ego. Maybe he felt he wasn't being used enough so he chose to leave and things just went downhill from there. We don't know and probably never will. Let it go.

I was just as disappointed about the Warrick getting killed (was kinda expecting but a bit shocked at the violent end). But without that is "drama". I remember flipping out back when "Chris Lorenzo (main character) got killed off on Silk Stalkings. Several of my friends were extremely shocked and upset. However, don't think of it as the writers "sticking it to us viewers". Contracts expire, actors move on (hell, watch daytime tv sometime)..but they have to keep you glued by writing dramatic scenes! From what I understand - some actors like to go out in a "blaze of glory" or something dramatic (anyone remember Jimmy Smits' swan song on NYPD Blue - I still bawl when I see those episodes in reruns). I personally cannot wait now till the season premiere to see the emotional impact on his co-workers!! Unfortunately, 8 years - some originals are bound to go.

Although I'd missed episodes of CSI, when I tuned in to Thursday night's finale, I had a strong sense of foreboding. I was disturbed by Warrick's appearance and the aloofness his co-workers displayed in the beginning. Thank God they came through for him. He'd been there for Nick and maybe Nick will be there for him. You knew from the way everyone exited the diner what was coming. I just wonder what role that waitress plays in this! In CSI Miami, Eric was shot in the head and survived, so maybe the same can happen for Warrick. As it relates to Gary Dourdan's drug charges, I was not aware until I came online today. Now, I've got to find out about Khandi Alexander. What the blazes is happening? I know it's TV and entertainment, but you also make us identify with and love these characters as people. I yelled out in shock, experienced heart break, and got mad when I saw that "ugh" shoot Warrick. What was the point of him wiping off the gun? I am not happy with the way Warrick was treated. This just leads to more speculation about his character. He was killed like a garden variety drug dealer. I'm still hurting from what I saw, even though I was expecting him to be killed, but not in such a barbaric manner.

It is a t.v show. It was great writing and it left us hanging. It is all about the ratings. I will still watch the show. He was not the only talented actor nor the the most important so C.S.I. will continue on with or without him.

I am sooooo disappointed. I cannot believe that Warrick is not going to be back on the show. This is the only show that I watch and I watch it everyday. Warrick's character was tremendously enjoyable to watch if not just for his amazing good looks. How on earth are they going to replace a man like that? I don't think it is possible. I was shocked and very sad when I saw the finale. The show just won't be the same, EVER.

(FROM PEOPLE) - CSI star Gary Dourdan was arrested early Monday (April 28) for alleged drug possession. The Palm Springs Police Department says officers approached Dourdan, apparently sleeping, in a car parked the wrong way on the street at around 5 a.m. Monday. They found the actor in possession of suspected cocaine, heroin, ecstasy, and prescription pills. He was released after five hours of custody. It was recently announced that Dourdan, who plays investigator Warrick Brown on CSI, is leaving the eight-year-old drama, probably in the next few weeks. (People)

OKAY – Recognizing that all is fair in love and television – I can see where we need not necessarily assume Warrick is dead. But REALLY – with a wound to the neck, and shot by a high ranking law agent, even if he did come back to the show, what is the likelihood that he would be the same excellent CSI agent he always was?! As for his real life legal problems with drug possession and desire to sleep in his car on the side of the road in the early morning hours, and the speculation that his career may suffer, I have just three words for us all: ROBERT DOWNEY JR.

With respect to his returning to CSI….OHMIGOSH!!! I just had a horrible thought! What if the Warrick Brown character returns but he is played by some other black actor?!?! You know…like they did with the Lionel’s on The Jeffersons!!!! YIKES!!!!

WHAT'S GOING ON ??????????? i knew NOTHING about killing off warrick !!! this is my #1 show of all for all the 8 seasons it's been on - I LOVE IT ! but now - sara gone, sex tension between kat and warrick gone, gil, my beloved gil, only here and there, are they slowly killing us softly with their vanishings... i hate to say it, but i will still watch the show, but really, i do expect it is the beginning of the end... how sad. well - my next #1 is 'criminal minds' ---- tv people what are you doing to us loyal fans of csi !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I know this is just a TV show, but, as previously said, we grow to love the characters the real actors portray. I just started watching CSI last year and was immediately "hooked". I am in agreement with many others, that the way "Warrick" (Gary) left the show was very dissappointing. To be honest, I didn't even watch the finale. Just seeing the preview was enough to let me know I didn't want to watch the show. I don't plan on watching the show next season.

From having skimmed through the above responses, I think my feelings on last night's episode have mostly been shared above, but I'll give an overview.

I saw that ending coming, including the persons involved. (Don't know why I'm being vague, since it's all be given away here already.) How it will pan out next season, I have two ideas, but I'm leaning heavily on one. In an *unrealistic* scenario where the producers go out of their way to appease the fans, rather than have a real plot, they could pick up from that scene and continue it with Grissom or Katherine having been nearby and running to Warwick's aid, killing his shooter and miraculously saving Warwick.

The reality is, Dourdan is in trouble with the law and I really think that the end of this season is their rather abrupt way of writing him out. Sure I like his character, but we can't let our personal feelings cloud our judgment of the choices the show's production should be making. I will say it's going to be hard to find a character to fill the spot left by him, but I am quite sure this is his goodbye.

Like it or not, the way the show ended will deeply involve the rest of the characters next season. To have Warrick walk off into the sunset would mean the start of next season would be pretty ho-hum. Sarah's replacement begins next season so between breaking in a new CSI agent, dealing with anger and grief over the death of Warrick and being determined to solving his murder I think next season will be better than ever.

Warrick was never my favorite character (he was too broody for my taste)but obviously some viewers loved him. Poor writers and producers ... they'll never be able to please all of us.

I knew something was going to happen. I felt he would get shot. But to KILL WARWICK was awful! He is as much a part of the success of CSI as anyone else. I've seen a few people say that Warrick died without dignity, which is simply not true. As you'll recall, the group had been out celebrating his release. When he was back in his car, his killer then proceeded to congratulate him and compliment him, after which he made the pretense of walking away only to turn around and shoot. But the last thing Warrick knew is that he had approval. I will concede though that he might've felt betrayal between shots, though that's questionable, considering the first one.

If any of the people that said that they will NEVER watch the show EVER again are obviously not true CSI fans. I hope that they bring back Warrick as well but it has been my favourite show for 4 years now.(had to catch up after Nick got buried alive) For example, would you stop cheering for a team if they lost time and time again or would you hope they win the following year. The Buffalo Bills, if I am correct, have not won the Superbowl EVER, but people stay loyal to them!!!!!!
Although I am upset that there may never come the opportunity for there to be a hook up with Warrick and Katherine or that he will come back at all, I will be loyal to the only show that I make the time to watch!!!!!
By the way, William Petersen was limited BY CHOICE because he wanted to get involved in theatre.

It was hard to lose one main character, but now another one? I love the character of Warrick and how they made him so conflicted. He had a depth that made the show being set in Vegas seem more believable. I really hope that they do everything possible to bring him back next year. OK, but what no one seems to mention is that it is HIGHLY improbable that the Under Sheriff was able to put a bullet directly through Warrick's neck without bending and aiming... which Warrick would have seen in his peripheral vision! Hmmm... a couple things to think about... Once they (and possibly he himself) decided to let him go, maybe he didn't want the possibility of cameos... Perhaps it was HIS idea to be killed. Would explain a last minute rewrite that left the telegraph of the undersherrif being a bad apple. And perhaps in some odd way it was a tribute to his real life older brother's murder.

You guys are completely overreacting. Warrick was one of my favorite characters too and I was shocked to see the way they handled his exit from the show. However, I will reserve judgment about the future of CSI until I see next season's episodes. If the episodes are awful, then yes, I will stop watching. I can't begin to tell you how shocked and disappointed I felt when Warwck was shot. I knew in my gut that it was going to happen, but I was trying to will it not to happen , that the writer's had some sense. But, alas, it was not to be. Warrick will be missed, if he dies. I understand why they killed him off though. Dourdan is great, I've liked him since Alien Reserrection, but his personal demons are more important than the show. He is the one who quit the show so the writers decided to use his death as the beginning of a great new storyline. I mean, next season now has a purpose 'find out who killed Warrick'. You know a department wide manhunt and a sense of suspicion might reveal other twists and possibly a dirty CSI. I hope Dourdan can use this time to clean himself up.

I have no solid feeling that Brown is dead - dead - dead. On CSI Miami, Delco took a bullet to the head, went into seizure, then coma, & I think still has a fragment lodged somewhere. In less than one hour, the character went through hell & woke up with a puffy bandaid on the side of his head with full functionality of mind & mouth. Less than 4 episodes later, he's back & perky. The injury is an oh-yeah, by the way, isn't this an interesting side effect to explore subplot now and again. Speaking of raising the dead. That said, we only see the exit wound in the side of the neck, never where exactly the first bullet entered or even the second. That said, & knowing Dourdan specifically asked to be written off in a way to permanently remove his character, the whole incident can go either way. Why have cat fits over a crime show? I'm just fascinated how a proicedural can mess with reality & still have fans ranting about its technical accuracy.

I have been watching the show since day 1 and actually lived in Las Vegas for 4 years and got the chance to meet Gary, in person! He is a GREAT guy! I was already sad to see Jorja Fox leave. I think though that there may be the slightest possibility that Warrick is still alive.

I like a few other people think the show is dying and that the people in the show do not want to be type cast in these roles.

I had read where Gary wanted to leave the show....after so many years any actor might want to move on! There is always more than what we know. That being said, I never expected to see that Warrick wold be permently gone.
I will continue to watch because I want to see what direction the writers will take with the other actors as they deal with this loss. I also see this as one time that Sara will come back to bury one of their own.

Busting Gary out of the show on temporary drug charges was the way to go. The writers had already established that connection. (Then Gary's real life added a profound punctuation, further supporting drug offense as the way to exit his character). The show is supposed to reflect reality as we know it in this day and age. "Oh, we could never capitalize on an actors personal life!" Give me a break.
Mention has also been posted about trying to make a more solid bond between TV and the internet. Yeah, like I have time to religously watch both! The writers tried, but the concept of killing Warrick was not the direction a show in trouble needed to take.
Instead of waiting for Warrick to stage yet another CSI Las Vegas miraculous recovery, or allow this dippy under sheriff to off the rest of the cast one-by-one, I opt that they end this whole mess by allowing Grissom to pull the plug and go get it on with Sarah.

i dont think that warrick was killed off i think they will make at least four different episoded with this cliff hanger nick will find him and them the er with everyone around him then skip an episode and back to the er gathering up evidence to grissom then finding the killer then they see warrick getting out of danger and coming around but his mind is a blurr then they get more evidence to the killer then he starts recovering and remembering

Well to be honest with you, I expected this to happen. With Dourdan struggling with his own demons in his personal life with drug addictions, you just had to wonder if he is going to be checking in for a lengthy rehab stint while the show continues, allowing him to appear in a few episodes, clinging to life in a hospital bed, making a miraculous recover and returning to the show fulltime, once he has beaten back his demons in private life. If they don't bring back Warrick next season, then I personally am calling it a wrap and will no longer watch the show, because after Sidle left, the show was missing something and if they write off Warrick, then for me, the show is no longer anything interesting to watch.

I agree with everyone about Warrick, and also figured the undersherrif as the 'higher up' that Warrick referred to when speaking with Grissom. Dourdan created a great character, and he is a good actor, I will miss him but see no way for him to survive. Nevertheless, maybe some other characters can come out more. We don't know too much about Nick, and now with the redhead waitress maybe there'll be something with that story. I also like brown-nose Hodges, that actor has created a stand-alone character. There are plenty of stories to keep everyone interested. Like Brass, he's scary he is so scarred. And even Dr. Robbins can carry a show. We think we know Willows, but do we, really? And the character Eric Symanda plays is starting to evolve - while I miss the smart-alec lab guy, I think he can do better as a CSI, plus he's got his issues. But I also agree that a strong black/ethnic character is needed. Sara's been gone so long I don't miss her anymore, but I do miss the miniature killer. So, off we go into another season!

Well, I'm bummed out about the pretty distinct possibility that Warrick will no longer be on the show. However, the more upsetting thing is the comment I read above that Grissom will be appearing in less episodes!?!?! You've got to be kidding me! He made the decision to leave CSI. They really didn't show his character a lot this last season and that was a bigger disappointment to me than how he left the show. At least the team was able to clear Warrick's name and I'm sure they'll solve the case of his murder next season. I've like Gary Dourdan since he was on 'A Different World' and I will definitely miss him on the show.

The viewers who say that maybe Warrick wasn't hit in a major artery and won't die are doing some wishful thinking, IMO. If the shooter (a cop) couldn't hit Warrick from two feet away, he'd better report to the firing range for practice! Even I could do that (but, of course, never would!)

IMO, they should have let Warrick ride off into the sunset, so if he was willing, he could make guest appearances later. At least (so far) Grissom, Doc Robbins, and Brass are still with us. What's this about Grissom appearing in fewer episodes next season? Say it ain't so!

I am and will always be a great and a loyal fan of all the CSI shows but I was shocked and disappointed by this ending. Warrick (Gary Dourdan) is one the finest actors on the show. I knew something bad was going to happen, as I know everyone did, but this was totally unforeseen and unforgivable. I only pray that Warrick is found in time and he is in a coma. As for his personal life, he did a bad thing and I am sure he will get the help that he needs but kill him off? That is just crazy everyone needs a second chance. Lets hope the writers and producers will also will see it that way. Every day the papers and the new on TV is filled with stories about superstars, music artist, very RICH play girls, etc. and their drug addictions, their criminal behavior, etc. and they claim they are over it, but then the very day they do it again and they still go on living their lives, acting, singing, traveling the world spending money and laughing in everyones faces, So writers and producers DON'T GIVE UP ON GARY DOURDAN, PLEASE LET HIM LIVE !!!!! If anyone has to go, get rid of Hodges (the nose..... the brown nose) I for one was glad to see Jorja Fox (Sara) go, there were times I wished Catherine would slap her face but then Catherine was too much a lady to do such a thing. I would like to say to Cris W. from Arkanas regarding your comments about CSI's having a love interest( his words.... " As far as I am concerned, none of the CSI staff should have a love interest... They should in my (his) opinion should work 24-7 just to satisfy my (his) veiwing pleasure" ) I like the idea that these people have a life outside of the office, it makes them more real, more believable and give the actors more depth, it also makes the stories alot more interesting. Cris W. if you want a robut then watching Scifi, after all CSI's are real people with real lives.

This show will never be the same with out Warrick (Gary) again so make it right, let HIM LIVE so he can solve the mystery about the dirty cop and the murder of Rebecca Budgid (the stripper that Warrick befriended earlier this past year). I don't think Warrick died without dignity (if he is dead) The undersheriff shot him because he said he intended to find the person who was really responsible (since the person was higher than the missing officer). Because he was a good CSI the undersheriff knew he would figure it out eventually. Of course I was thinking what? the rest of the team would not really care about catching the culprit? Now they will be even more determined to find out who shot Warrick and therefore will also figure out why. They always do.

Gary Dourdan is probably not going to prison. I read he will probably have to enter a drug treatment program and probably do so community service. That is what usually happens with a charge like this. It is not like he has been charged with drug possession many times.

I am so done with this show. What a slap in the face to the loyal viewers to kill off Warrick. And such a disrespectful and undignified exit for Warrick! He was the heart, the human, and the humor of the show. And this show is not a dry procedural like L&O with its revolving cast door; another actor cannot just be plugged in to fill Warrick's place. The writers/producers have made a serious miscalculation and seem to have lost touch with the very show they created. The Warrick situation could have been handled so many other ways... even if the actor had to be away from the show for his much-publicized "personal reasons", any number of explanations could have been used for the character's absence (gone to advanced bug decomposition school, gone undercover on a big case, gone to track down an old flame and gain custody of a child he just found out about, heck, run away to the circus, who cares?). They could even have had a running reference (and touching moment) in future plotlines as they read aloud the latest postcard from Warrick. As I said, unless something BIG changes, I am done watching. They need to somehow keep Warrick alive, bring back Sara, make Grissom actually show up to work for a full season... and while I'm dreaming, get rid of that creepy and very unfunny Hodges! They'd better take out extra insurance on Catherine and Brass, they're the only 2 characters left who are worth watching, and unfortunately they can't carry the show by themselves. Bye CSI, it was so great while it lasted!

Hmmm, I waited for the writers strike to end just so they could kill off Warrick/Gary? To use somebody's private life to judge the screen work they do is ridiculous! Where would the tv show "Home Improvement" been had the screenwriters and powers that be killed off Tim Allen for his coke use? What about Robert Downy also? Then let's take a look at the likes of Lindsey Lohan, Robin Williams, Bob Denver, Mel Gibson, and Cheech Marin and his cohort Tommy Chong. All the above have either pot or pills, or "both" in common when it came to drug use! Addiction has nothing to do with talent, and Gary Dourdan has just that, "TALENT"! Who's gonna be the glue that holds CSI Vegas together now? Will it be Katherine with her constant whining about her being a mother and always exhibiting her power-hungry expletives which downtroddens the others, or will it be Nick trying to find another ant filled casket to lie in for a ratings boost? Nick and Warrick's onscreen antics with their little inside jokes and bets kept the on-air fodder in the backseat where it belongs! I mean, when Warrick called Nick "Mustache Boy" on the episode where he came to work one day sporting that bit of hair on his upper lip! Even Grissom couldn't have pulled that schtick any better than Warrick did! The combination of Nick and Warrick always kept a fresh face and an even fresher perspective throughout the show and kept all personalities grounded which allowed Grissom to keep his lead as the boss of the group and mentor as well as friend to all of his subordinates he worked with! As Warrick goes, so does the entire show, for it's hard to replace an original cast member when he was one of the, if not the main reason the show was a hit! I like others will watch the initial fall show to see if Warick lives or dies, but if he dies, I am done with CSI Vegas for good. As much as I even love watching "Brass" (Paul Guilfoyle), he can't hold my attention to the show because his catalyst "Warick" will be gone! When will hollywood ever learn that if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it!

I will miss Warrick. He was a great addition to the show. But look at what next year will bring. The team will not let this rest they will find the killer and it will take more than one show to do this. Gary has some legal issues that he needs to take care of and those may have been brought on by him leaving the show. We all make mistakes and we all have our issues when it comes to not having a job any more. The man must love his work and he did it well. Lets just hope we can see him on TV in the future and bring the same type of person Warrick was.

No one knows whether Warrick is dead or not. This is a cliffhanger episode at its finest. I think they left the door open for him to survive if a new contract can be agreed upon. You only see Warrick slumping down onto the steering wheel. If they get a new contract then what will probably happen is Nick, hearing the gunshots, rushes out of the diner and finds Warrick. Then of an ambulance is called, he is taken to Desert Palms Hospital where he makes a miraculous recovery.

You know, believe it or not, I actually knew they were gonna kill Warrick when it was reported that Dourdan was leaving CSI. Sorry, CSI writers, but this "shock" finale was just a little long in the tooth, having been seen before (CSI:Miami; NCIS) where a major character is "killed" to spike ratings. I liked Jorja's departure much more, seeing as it seemed more natural than contrived. It almost seems as if the writers don't really care about the viewers anymore now that they have their new contract. Shame on them! They could easily have made him have a car accident after leaving the bar drunk rather than shoot him, thus leaving the door open to his possible return at a later date!!! Or just say that he had gone missing in one of the biggest mysteries in CSI history - now THAT would have been a "shocker"!!!

I can't say I disliked Warrick, but I won't miss him either. Even Grissom's character was tarnished this year (for me) by his ill-conceived relationship with an underling. He should have known better than to try to hide it, instead of handling it in a professional manner (having her switched to another supervisor, etc.) Besides, Sarah's character was a drip and I definitely don't miss her. The show should be primarily about the cases and the evidence anyway, and only secondarily about the personal lives of the forensics crew.

I used to be a loyal watcher of CSI. Then the writers began toying with Warrick Brown's character in a manner I just didn't like. Even turning the channel a few times. But it didn't work. I was entranced to watch. AND WHY!!!! I was shocked! Flabbergasted! and yes HEARTBROKEN!!! As a single mother with only a few hours a week free to watch television, CSI Las Vegas was one of the two shows I watched. I loved the show but loved Gary Dourdan even more. It was the only reason I stopped whatever I was doing to watch. NO MORE. As the ex-wife of a man with substance abuse problems, I know that people make mistakes, but if you give them a chance to redeem themselves, most of the time, they will (too bad my ex-husband isn't one of them). They should have left the door open for him to at least return for guest appearances. I WILL NEVER WATCH CSI AGAIN. They will keep Horatio Cane on CSI Miami with his "bad ass" attitude (come on people!), but get rid of the only "real" character in Las Vegas??? PLEASE. I'm done.

Does anyone remember the "shower" episode from Dallas? There was just something about this episode that makes me think something else is going on... several characters were "aged" more so than any other episode and they really did telegraph what they were going to do, which is unusual. Gun shots rang out ..... Nick will run into the alley and find Warrick. Ambulance will arrive and rush him away to the hospital where he may linger to tease viewers for an episode or two. Then funeral, grieve issues (especially for Catherine) for a couple episodes. Maybe Sara will make an appearance for the funeral?? As for "poor Warrick" yes he was a good actor but he did this to himself.

I just watched a recorded version of CSI. OMG! I knew Gary was not going to be on the show next year, but did not expect to see him killed off. WOW....im totally lost for words. When this show began It captivated from one episode to another. I always looked forward once a week with the one show that i loved. Actually Gary did not renew his contract, he wanted off the show - guess he felt he could move on to "better" things. As someone else pointed out his drugs arrest was after he was written off and this show taped.

I luved Warrick's character too, but he was teetering on the edge many times and this story line rings true for his character and leads to many new story lines.

The show is not about 1 person its about many, their lives/jobs and the crimes and if you only watched it for one person and this is enough to make you not watch anymore, well then your loss!

I agree with everyone here stating that his character was one of the main reason why i watched it as well. I always thought of his character as one that hold the hole group together inspite of his mistakes. Sarah was not one of my favorite characters but i think that they all are needed to keep this group together. These characters are vital to the story line. CSI jumped the shark last year when they let Sara live instead of dying in the desert. It was bad enough they used the same basic story for two season finales in a row, but since everyone knew she would be leaving the show, they should of let her die of her own arrogance. If you recall, the car was found and she almost died of exposure from wondering the desert. Staying with the car would have been the smart thing to do. Anyway, for the third year in a row a character was in mortal danger (at least from life in prison this week) and finally the producers had the stones to kill one of the main characters. I liked Warrick's character, but if you had to pick any of the characters in a dead pool, he would have been the number 1 choice.

The show has definitely become a parody of its former self. With limited Grissom next season and a Lauren Lee Smith to replace Warrick, I doubt the show will be the must see TV it has been.

Well, as far as i know, the black characters left b/c they wanted to leave. having people leave undersuch sircumstances is generally the nature of crime shows. but i will continue to watch. i was hoping maybe they would have him go on the run or into witness protection. I hate that Warrick is gone and the way his final bow went was just tragic. The Undersheriff...shioot...great cliff hanger though, will be watching out next season. Warrick was such a great character it sucks! Okay, okay, what I mean is it was well written how they played out Warrick's end with the last happy breakfast and all-pure drama for a tear jerker finale(will be expecting a tear jerker S9 kick off ep). Plus the reveal of the real traitor. I still believe he might live (they did it on Miami with Delko and the other guy in New York who got his throat slit, why not LV?) I'm hoping.

I totally hate McKeen and yeah, I hated him right when he screwed over Catherine and Brass in the Reverse Forensics thing with Keppler(I am so willing to bet he did that on purpose!) It's no surprise McKeen is the idiot mole along with that other idiot he worked with. I am so looking forward to his downfall when the team finds out and runs after his ass because we all know they will! 'Go on, kick his ass and we promise we'll look the other way and say he tripped and fell!' I am looking forward to the team's reaction to this--Catherine, Nick and Grissom mainly. Warrick was a great character--again, I'm still hoping he'll live and will be recovering (hence the reason why he isn't on the show as much)

But I must say, while I am okay with the whole flirting thing with Catherine, I wouldn't want a full blown romance between them (Honestly, that Grissom and Sara thing was a disaster so learn from that, people). The flirting thing is okay, keeps us on the edge, but to have another 'bedroom' scene with the weird polo shirt and weird robe once is enough. I'd stick to blood pools and gunshot residues. Don't push us off the edge like you did with Grissom and Sara--wouldn't want another disaster thing like that.

Anyway, hoping for Warrick's return--Nick might still catch him after giving his number to the redhead. If he's really not coming back then hoping for a big bang of angry CSI's, pissed off police officers and one hell of a political mess when McKeen is outted (Watch out, idiotEcklie!) I hope S9 rocks Las Vegas!

Counting the days till the return and, of course, McKeen's downfall!

I too am very disappointed that Warwick’s character was eliminated. He was absolutely my favorite and I will probably not be watching CSI in the fall. As for the drug charges, this was a first arrest for him and let's be honest, a lot of other celebrities have gotten off with far worse crimes and no jail time. Relax people. Notice how the shooting scene focused on Gary's _neck_ wound. Looks like a through and through not a shot to the head. And the second shot's impact site couldn't be seen because bad ole sheriff's hand was inside the car. So, (as was done in CSI Miami with a thirty-ought six round into the _brain_ of Alex) the door is still open for Gary to return as a quadriplegic -- or maybe not. Alex recovered from his wound in erecord time. Maybe Gary too.(at least should take as long as his sentence time.)

I totally agree with all the other blogs posted, regardless of his personal troubles currently, he had dedicated so many years to the show and added flair and excitement. He deserved a more dignified exit than the one that he got. I am with Charles from Morristown, NJ, let's starat a petition to bring Warrick back, sign me up first on the list.

OK, don't think ill will of me! I am p/o that the only black guy is killed off the show. With that said, I didn't even see the whole show, came just in time to see Warrick get off on the murder charge. But I knew that it was not over when I saw him walking to his car. The way the guy was holding his arm down from Warrick, you just knew he was gonna be shot. It sucks, but I fell in love with CSI: Las Vegas for all the characters and I will be watching, to see them get Warrick's killer... And they will!!!

I'm glad someone else (CR) had a problem with how lightly the other CSIs seemed to react to Warrick's dilemma. I remember a much stronger reaction when Nick was accused of murdering the stripper he had the one night stand with especially from Catherine. Remember how Nick's live burial affected Warrick? Okay - I know these are characters and not real people, but I'd appreciate consistent writing. Warrick was my favorite character and in my opinion the most human one.

I was not expecting it to end that way. I was thinking it would still be open for him to come back, but not anymore. I literally sat there with my mouth open in shock for about 5 minutes! I do believe somehow the fellow cop gets found out he did it because otherwise there is no justice in that. Of course don't get me started on the whole 'justice court system' but, still, a character needs to leave with some dignity.

I watched the episode closely and if you notice it showed that he was still moving after being shot and the bullet went clear through neck.Nick was still in restaurant and I think its another who shot jr possibility.I also have seen cases where if bullet passes through there are chances to live.Also Nick could have heard shots and been close enough to help.At least it showed that his shooters fingerprints were left on door and with him turning radio down and lowering window had to be someone he knew that knew where he will be that night.I think it will be a great cliffhanger over the summer.

I don't get why everyone is so upset. Did you see the list of drugs he had on him when he was arrested? What was the show supposed to do? I think it's exciting, even though I loved Warrick's character, the show is taking a kind-of Soprano's-style turn. Must be a CBS thing this season ~ Criminal Minds had a identical ending... they showed you each character getting into a black SUV and then one of the trucks blew up... so you didn't know which person gets killed off. Very similar to each character leaving the diner on CSI then one of them getting killed off.

I liked the ending. Not because Warrick was shot, but because this is more realistic. A higher up would not want to leave someone alive who said they were hunting for him even if they didn't know it was him at the time.

I just hope that Warrick isn't dead so Gary can come back if things work out. And maybe they can bring in some different characters who are human and do have problems like Warrick.

I had this episode on the DVR so I just watched. Knowing that Gary Dourdan was having some issues made it all to apparent that his character was destined for some sort of exit. IMHO, CSI did what any good show would do and made it a dramatic exit. I am in total agreement with the majority that Warrick's character was hot, intense, interesting, edgy and will be sorely missed. Having said that...I'll miss him and would be delighted to see him survive but as is always the case in television - people (and characters) move on. Best of luck to Gary and here's hoping that CSI comes up with something great next season.

After reading the comments posted here, plus a myriad of newspaper and internet TV columns complaining about CSI's finale and the treatment of Warrick Brown's character I have to respectfully disagree. I think the finale was the ultimate kiss good bye from the writers to the character!

You see to my way of thinking, the "real" dirty cop, the undersherriff, felt he had to kill Warrick because Warrick was too good a CSI, too dogged. He knew he'd never let the case go and that's why he had to kill him. IMO, the writers didn't do this just for shock value at all. Or to "punish" Gary Dourdan. That is plain silly. It was a fitting and respectful send off and ultimately a redemption for what has always been written as a troubled character.

Yes, the fact the case wrapped early and they were all out for breakfast together was very clumsy and typical of the way CSI is written. All the characters were never seen together in a scene like that. The second it started airing my husband and I looked at each other and said "dead man walking". If the writers had made a habit of showing the characters together going out for breakfast after their shift was over, or even alluding to it by making plans, it may have been much less clumsy.

And writing on CSI is always awkward when they veer into the personal side. For example that whole side story about Warrick's marriage...that totally came out of left field! And when they showed Grissom & Sara together as a couple, it was just oogie, it gave me the creeps. So I guess my question is this...isn't a writer a writer? Just because the team at CSI writes for a procedural, have they never seen a drama or read a novel? It always seems to me that when they're going to do a bit of background or character development that they sit around the table and write ideas on index cards then toss them in the air and the one that lands face up is the one they decide to go with!!

It's a shame that Gary's personal life impacted the Warwick character that so many of us loved. Since Gary didn't renew his contract, I'm thinking Warwick is gone, but hopefully his character found a way to call or text Nick so that dirty rat cop can be caught.

I have been watching this show since its inception and am not at all happy with the ending....I believe that Warrick Brown was right behind Gil Grissom as a favorite character. I really LOVED this show! When they came up with Miami and New York I was sooo excited. But then they put David Caruso in as the main character and I quit watching that one. And it is too bad, because it seems to have pretty good stories. I will wath the New York one but am not too crazy about Kanakaredas (sp?). But, back to LV - I am so disappointed in losing him, ditto on all the above messages about him....

OK folks...what have we learned over the years watching CSI........? There was not any arterial splatter from the neck shot. It could have been a through and through. And the second shot....I have read that it was a head shot, but it looked like a chest shot to me. Nick was still inside...help could arrive in time. I am going to keep hope for a coma or something...maybe Warrick will need to go to rehab and come back again...we never know. I hear Jorja Fox will be back for a few episodes next season. Here is my thought. Warrick will appear in critical condition next season, but in such bad shape he will either be unconcious, or awake, but unable to communicate due to severe trauma and unable to speak due to being shot in the throat/neck.

BTW ... side note ... as good as the writing is for LV and NY, why are the stories for Miami so cheesy! They annoy the hell out of me!! I mean Horatio's style is pathetic! Always standing sideways, glasses on/off 50 times per episode, etc. He just thinks way too highly of himself. Sorry for that bit of venting! :))

I was seriously upset. I feel he deserved to leave the show in a much better way, regardless of the things that have happened in his personal life. His was an awesome character and will be sorely missed. But when the under sheriff began talking about how he never gives up, I knew it wasn't going to be good. But, the plot revolving around finding out whodunit should make for some excellent watching when the show airs in the fall.

This was the best of the CSI series, but they have managed to write off all favorite characters, so I guess this is it for me, too.

I've stopped watching other shows for the same reason and seem to be taping more old shows like Crossing Jordan and Without a Trace. Not much on primetime that appeals anymore which is why shows like Survivor and American Idol do so well. Wonder what happened to all the good writers?

People die. That's real life. If Warrick's character dies, then they are portraying real life. In real life, we don't tell a family that we won't see them anymore because their loved one died. That's stupid. Watch the show and accept how it's played out. Or watch soap operas where the characters have nine lives.

I loved the ending. My understanding is he (willingly) left the show because the tightwads of the almighty network were to cheap to pay the man
for what he was worth. After all his great performances and years with the show, I would have wanted (demanded?) to go out with a big old bang too, and then sit back and laugh while the network caught the heat! Sorry it took so long to post this comment. Not only was I in shock but terribly disappointed in the ending. I will however continue to hope that they find him and that he leaves the show still alive but recovering somewhere so that he could possibly return. Between him and Grisson, those are my favorite characters. If Grisson goes, I am sure so will my viewing of this series. Although depending on what happens to Warrick in the season opener I may not watch next season.

Warrick Brown is one of the best characters on CSI, in fact so much, that I am a diehard fan & watch all of the old re-runs, just to see him. It will be interesting to see what happens in the new season this fall. Will Sarah come back? Will she & Grissom get married?
