I have been a huge fan of this show - even going to
three tour shows - but I probably won't watch it again and for sure I won't buy another table at a tour performance. The way the show/judges pushed Kristi and Jason over the other contestants was not professional. Mario was at least as good as Jason and Christian's performance last night was better than a 1 point spread from Jason. Figure skating
is dancing on ice so to say Kristi had no experience
just was not true. Of course her technique was the
best of the whole lot and based on technique she
should win. What ice show did she skate for and was
is Disney?

She nailed everything and more important, her personality really came through on both numbers. She truly deserves the top prize. Comparatively, the boys dont come close...at all.

I love Kristi but I do feel she has an unfair advantage over the other dancers being a very strong skater and show person.
I feel anyone participating in this competition should have no experience at all in any type of dancing or showbusiness experience. You have had other people on the show who did have this type of experience which I believe is a very unfair advantage.

Kristi is by far the best. But I also think all the stars that are used in the show should be on the same level of experience. Kristi has been in dance her whole life.So i would think she has an edge. Since Dancing with the Stars is now a huge hit I think it would be best if all the stars were on the same level of performance. This should definitely be a factor on future shows. I have completely enjoyed "Dancing"! At this point all 3 could win the mirrowed ball but I feel that it is Kristi's hands down. I was pulling for Jason for the longest but he hasn't got the dancing quality that Kristi has. But then she couldn't sack a quarter back with his hands tied behind his back. No offense, Kristi. And Christian, you get my vote as the person with probably the biggest heart to keep going with the severe injury and all. Good luck to each of you!

Kristi is, by far, the best, hands down. But I think it's unfair of people to say she has an advantage because she's a figure skater. Sure, she can spin well when Mark turns her. But beyond that, having skated a good bit of my life, I can tell you that it's way different to be on skates than on a dance floor. Everything in figure skating is done flat footed. The dance floor requires a lot of toes AND she's in heels!! It's hard enough to walk in the darn things let alone dance in them. There's a big, big difference in the two. My problem is that in past competitions, sometimes it's not if you're the best dancer, but if you're more popular. And I don't think that's totally fair. It's a dance competition and should be judged by us that way. But look how long that idiot, Master P was on the show!! Tell me that was because of his great dancing skills! No, it's because a bunch of nimrods out there liked his "music"!! They need to do something about the judging from home. Having said that, I'm so impressed with all of them. Marissa sure brought her game up quite a lot. And she was such a joy to watch. Like, Y.S., I wish they could all win. Great show.

It is very easy for an athlete to transition their physical abilities and conditioning to the dance floor.....thank goodness for that otherwise you might have a season of nothing but "sloppy dancing and silly routines" with contestants like Kenny Maine,Master P and Steve Gutenberg and Jerry Springer...Pretty Dull!!

I started watching Dancing in the season that Apolo won. Got totally hooked and I'm glad I did. It's by far the best "reality" show on TV. I hope the fans voted so it doesn't turn out to be another Daughtry situation like it was on Idol when everyone thought he was safe and he got booted off the show.
Of course Kristi should win. Girl power all the way. For those of you saying another woman should win, be aware that NO woman has ever won.
I have totally enjoyed this season even though I thought the judges were soft on one dancer who shall remain nameless. Can't wait to see who the stars will be next year.
Tomorrow night is going to be great, if a real nail biter.

For those that compare dancing on ice to dancing on the floor, about the only thing they have in common is possibly the grace needed. You glide on ice. On the floor, Kristi had to learn all kinds of actual steps. And there are so many steps involved from one type to the next (foxtrot to waltz to salsa to rumba, etc etc). Yes she is an athlete and conditioned to work hard, so is Jason. It's just like life - some people are just a little better than others at some things. She's worked as hard as any one else for this and it showed on the dance floor. She deserves the win.

How can you say that Kristi has an advantage? There is absolutely no comparison between figure skating and ballroom dancing. The only advantage any athlete has in this competition is that they are accustomed to training and physical activity and they have the competitive spirit and are willing to spend hours practicing to win. Kristi is by far the best dancer on the show hands down and the judges see that. No one is forcing her on anyone or favoring her....they are just admitting the plain truth that she is the best and most graceful dancer in the competition.

Well, I am reading the comments and just to point out that last season Sabrina was a dancer, Staci Kiebler had dancing experience and so did Drew. I don't think it's about dance experience, I think it's the best professional, it all comes down to the freestyle and what the professional choregraphs. Disappointed in Cheryl this year but I don't think she had a lot to work with...the injury hurt them. Love Edyta but I think she is like Maks...they aren't good at freestyle, they are strictly ballroom. Go Kristi, if a girl is going to win at least she can rock it out!

I'm a recently married man at age 39, married on Jan 26, '08, so I had to watch Dancing for the first time. Fortunately even my wife got tired of it toward the end so we pretty much stopped watching it and just caught the results online. What we did watch, however, I enjoyed for the most part and thought Kristi deserved what she got. She can't be faulted for the fact that she's professional skater. There are other professional athletes and professional performers in the competition. She can't be faulted for the producers asking her to join the competition. She was the best so she should win. Plain and simple.

I've loved the show throughtout its seasons. However, I probably won't watch again. I also believe Kristi will win hands down, and the unfair advantage she carries is to blame. Even though Kristi had a small advantage with her figure skating skills. How many years ago was that? I don't think Kristi was ever in any of the Skating with the Star shows. Even still Kristi was a solo skater and that doesn't necessarily equate to an advantage dancing with a partner. She never did lifts, though she did jumps. Emmett Smith was a football player and Apollo Ono was a speed skater. All of them athletic and so Jason had a chance to beat Kristi but he had his problems on the dance floor. I'm glad that Christian made it to the finals but I was surprised that he wasn't cut due to his injury. But he proved himself and he made it. I was surprised when Mario was cut; but I guess he didn't get enough fan votes to keep him in the competition. I was sure he'd make it to the finals. Another former contestant went on to do Broadway; something he may not have done if he hadn't been on Dancing with the Stars. This is all for fun; a chance to be in the spot light again. It's a great form of cardio exercise and a chance to lose a few pounds. I'm all for Kristi; you go girl! I hope she wins!!! :)

As for who I want to win, I am rooting for Jason adn Edyta, because she has been there from season 1, and the whole dancing thing was more of a challenge for Jason than it was for Kristi. Actually, Jason has more of an advantage than Kristi. The step technique used in ballroom dancing is not unlike football (strangely enough!) Figure skating is a whole different story--in skating, you put pressure flat on your foot, instead of the balls of your feet. If anything, Kristi had an extra challenge because she trained for so long doing something that is counterintuitive to dancing.

I want to set something straight in this comment. Comparing Kristi's skating & dancing abilities is like comparing apples & oranges. I think everyone has forgotten that she was a "singles" skater throughout her career. There might have been instances, when she skated professionally, that she had a partner but those were few & far between.
Everyone in this competition started out on a level playing field. It all boils down to who is willing to work the hardest to win. Kristi has shown that she is willing to put in the long hours of practice to achieve a goal. Remember...it took her 12 years, battling injuries & disappointments, to win that gold metal! In my book she is still a CHAMPION!!

I think it's funny how people bash Kristy for having an "advantage," everyone on the show has some type of advantage. For example, someone who appears on Broadway has the advantage of being used to performing in front of a live audience, an actor has the advantage of being able to act out the emotion in the dance well, someone who's popular in recent media has the advantage of having a large fan base, etc etc. And people who have neither ice skated or danced before, really should not comment on if Kristy has an advantage or not, because you really have no idea. It may just look like she does because she is graceful. Which, to be fair, was certainly honed in her skating days, but there are plenty of non-skaters who are graceful too, so that really shouldn't be an argument. Really, other than people who have actual BALLROOM dance training, in my opinion, the people who have the biggest advantage are the professional athletes. Any professional athlete. They are the ones who are used to spending hours and hours perfecting their technique in whatever it is that they are trying to win. They are the ones that are generally in the best shape as well. It shows when you look at the finals. Every season there are professional athletes that make it to the finals, and they often win. I don't think it's unfair at all. They need contestants with a variety of skills and "advantages." Think about it, would you want to watch a whole field of Penn Gillette's? (no offense to Penn, just pointing him out as someone who came in with no experience)

Her advantage is that she trains and dances well, she should win! Also, she never took her shirt off or keep it unbuttoned during her performance to try to make herself look more sexy like her two male competitors. Speaking of the two males, they responded quite nicely to the two professionals that did all the dancing around them and made them look good. She is just better then they are, so if she doesn't win, there's no justice!

Yes, Kristi did have a bit of an advantage with her skating training/experience. And, contrary to what some posters think, she didn't just skate as a single. She paired up with Rudy Galindo for years, and they reached the podium on more than one occasion. But Jason and the other men had an even bigger advantage (one that has little to do with talent): since most of this show's viewers are women, women seem more attracted to the male performers and tend to vote for them more. Fortunately, Kristi, as a former figure skating champion, apparently has a great fan base. She should win, she deserves to win, and if she doesn't I'll give up on the show!

Dancing and skating are 2 different things. There have been plenty of stars with some dancing experience: Drew Lachey, Marrisa, Joey Fatone, Mel B, Mario Lopez, Mario (this season), shall i go on? at this point, it is clear the winner has been already selected. Kristi is a graceful and experienced dancer - that is what she has trained for her whole life. i was always under the impression this show was to be fair with no favorites in the line up. it appears the judges have made their mind up. my vote goes to christian. he not only is a vision of beauty to look at but has some guts to keep on trucking after a serious injury. jason and edyta are hot to watch. she is a gorgeous woman with one hell of a body. he is just studly as can be. good luck to all three! hope the fans get to make the decision and not the judges.

I am so sick of hearing that Kristi was a dancer before the competition. Kristi was an ice skater and was not a dancer before coming to the show. She competeted years ago. Sure she is graceful and has the arm movements that help BUT she did not dance and did not skate with a partner. Gliding your feet along the ice on skates is one thing but dance steps are quite another. I could not do the steps she has been doing. Her dance routines are hard - much harder than most of the other competitors.
I think that any one who trains &/or competes has some advantage. Race car drivers and sports figures have that competeive edge that average people do not.
What about the boy band dancers we have had and Mario is performer? Give Kristi her props. She is the best this season!

Certainly, Kristi has some handy skills that are conveniently carried over from figure skating to dancing, but some other very important carry-overs are evident when she demonstrates her drive, positive attitude, determination and practice/work ethic.

You people who think that figure skating is dancing on ice are all wet!! A single's skater is a freestyle skater doing jumps, spins and footwork in time to the music. The skaters who dance on Ice are called Artistic Dance Skaters and yes they do dances on Ice. It is unfair to say Kristi has more advantage because she is a freestyle skater. Apolo Anton Ono was a skater too and won the trophie and I did not hear anyone complaining that he had unfair advantage. Just look at the Cheeta Girl and Mel B who do complicated routines in their stage shows. They have to dance during their show and no one complained about the unfair advantage they had. I am a skater and just because you can skate does not mean you can ballroom dance. I did competitive dances on roller skates and was our State Champion but that does not mean I can dance the way Kristi has on this show so lay of the Olympic Champion. Her unfair advantage is that she had talent and determination to compete.

I think Jason is too tall for a lot of the dances and the Skater is to stiff and I really thought that her free style dance looked helter skelter. I believe that Kristi wins hands down. She has week after week been the most consistent dancer and is truly a joy to watch perform along with her professional partner Marc. Sandy McGinnis...Not sure if you know but there was (1) woman that won Dancing and that was Kelly Monaco who won the very DWTS Title, and then was challenged by the runner up later for a rematch and he was voted the champion, but no one counts that Kelly won fair and square. As for the men My, My what else can I say those 2 guys are just gorgeous I mean damn...they both have come a long way but Girl power rules tonight and Kristi takes home the 2nd title for the women.

I it just me or are all the judges blind the guys should have been in the 10 last night Kriste was not as good as they made her out to be she MISSED a lot of steps in her free style and look goofy doing it.

This show has been really wonderful this year. I liked all the dancers, they all worked really hard and did a greay job. My vote is for Kristi because she is the best. She worked really hard as did all of them but she came throught in the end. I'd like to see some how some of these people who think she had it so easly becasue she was a skater get up and try what she has been doing, skating is completely different than dancing, I know because I've done both and they are NOT the same. The dancers should all be proud of the wonderful job they did.

This year's dancers just don't measure up to the excitement of previous seasons. Sorry...I just don't really care about the show this year, and could care less who wins. Maybe next season will be better if they will just get rid of Samantha and her pointy, poking fingers. She is the worst!!!!!

I love Dancing with the Stars, I started watching it in the second season. Stacy Kiebler was my favorite all time star to dance. I was hoping to see Marlee Matlin go further, I thought she did a great job. Out of the three finalist I don't care who wins but I will continue to watch the show no matter.....

Kristi is an excellent athlete and she is a also a great performer, if those two things give her an advantage does it really matter? I feel all the contestants on the show have all worked to the best of their abilities and have, at some point, showcased their talents. If Kristi has done better than the others because of her work ethic and the goal to strive for perfection then she has only done what all of us should aspire to...to do the best that we can do in what ever we do. She is a good role model and she should win.

Yes, Kristi was a champion on ice, but she doesn't deserve it on Dancing with the Stars. Like the comment earlier, she has danced the same the whole season, where Jason & Christian have improved. I'm all for Jason to win, for a guy that tall & look that good dancing, he deserves to win & so does Edyta. She's the only pro who has stuck it out all 6 seasons & has done wonders with all her celebs.

I agree with Anne Rigsby from AZ, below. However, I feel there is an angle here we are forgetting. Not only does Kristi have an unfair advantage, but one out of the three is handicapped. Are the other two competing with a handicap? No. So, the distance between Kristian and Christian is huge! Give the other two a disadvantage and see who rises to the top. I still feel Christian is a better dancer than Jason and of course, Jason may remain because of his football connections. I'll stick with Cheryl and Chrisian! This time around the competitors aren't even close because for one reason or the other the ground is NOT level.

You have to admit--a guy can't move the way a girl can...and sometimes I think the guy get judged on how good their partners are and they are professionals...its not fair. I am a dance teacher and I feel the judging is all one sided for Kristie . I personally think because of all her former training that she should not have been in the competition . I believe that Christain and Jason really worked hard and just were not fairly judged they both are truley amateur dancers with NO experience in ballroom dancing at all. In all honesty you can't put pros with amateurs I would have liked to see either one on the men win but we all know that is not going to happen. I feel Carrie Ann is very rude and is very bias and is 100% for Krisiti. Maybe next year three different judges?

In my opinion, Kristi was the best since the show began. I don't think ice skating was that much of an advantage...her advantage is her work ethic & concentration. I noticed a big improvement in her dancing last night since the first night we saw her.
She is less inhibited & more willing to try new things.

Get over it people. Figure skating is much different than dancing. Have any of you watched figure skating, there are plenty of successful skaters who are not great dancers. Kristi was the best on the show this season consistently and should win. Simple as that.

The 3 remaining finalists were as good as gold last night however, Kristie stood out in style and performance thanks to her competitive nature. A big thanks needs to go to Mark Ballas as he has moves that make you want to rock and roll all over the place. Although Cristian and Jason are stiff competitors they are not at the same level as Kristie. I am glad to see a female winning this season as she deserves to. Last season both Heilo and Mel B were tiredless in their efforts to win the ball. Had Mel B won last season it would have be deserving. I would have liked to have seen a tie there. Best to Kristie, Jason and Cristian tonight and in life. GO GO GO!!

These messages are getting quite comical about Kristi having an unfair advantage. Hello people, Jason is an athlete, Mario a singer who dances, Apollo an athlete, Drew a singer/dancer, Mel B singer/dancer, Sabrina a singer/dancer, Marissa is a performer, Christian is an actor (stage presence). Kristi clearly has been on top of her game and deserves it. The others are also quite good, but not as good as Kristi. Hats off to all of them, but GO Kristi!!!

To say that Kristi has an unfair advantage is a cop out. What makes her better than past dancers such as Mel B and Sabrina? Both of them were fantastic and no one was yelling unfair advantage. I think either you have natural ability or not. It doesn't matter what your profession is.

Kristie all the way. I don't buy the whole thing about her skating experience making her have a huge advantage. Yes she could twirl. But as she said she was flat footed with the skates. Now she has to wear heels. She had to learn so many new things and she did. She is outstanding and deserves to win.

Yes there are plenty of reasons/accuses for her not to win. She had dance and ballet lessons for ice skating. I agree with what some others have said. While I would like to see a woman win. It should not be her. Marissa would have been a far better choice.

I've talked to several people who've done both dance and figure skating and they talk about how non-transferable the skills are between the two "sports". One can be an excellent figure skater and a lousy dancer. Also, contrary to rumor, Kristi only took a bit of ballet as a kid and does not have professional dance training. She's never had any training in ballroom dancing. She obviously has talent but without her tremendous work ethic would have never stood out in this show in the way she has. No one works harder than Kristi. I don't see the same commitment from Jason. For example, he was an hour and a half late for one of his practices because he was having lunch with Denzel Washington. Hollywood doors are opening for him due to DWTS and I think Hollywood is his major focus for a second career.

No what's comical is that so many people don't see how unfair the judges are being to Jason & Christian. It's like they have their mind made up & no matter what, want Kristi to win so they gave her a perfect score on both dances when she clearly didn't deserve it. They praised Jason for his lifts in his freestyle saying no one has ever attempted such lifts, yet none of them gave him a 10 which he should have definitely gotten. Who cares if he's an athlete--he's a huge football player, which is the total opposite of a ballroom dancer, yet he has shown what a great dancer he has become. But, we all know Kristi will win, because that's how the show has wanted it since day one, no matter how much Jason deserves it more!!

I think it is totally unfair for you to get a professional skater who already knows the graceful dance moves associated with iceskating to even compete with people who have not been previously trained and chorographed and have no dancing skills previous to this show. This is the whole idea behind this show is that beginners learn from scratch and she is already 75% knowledgable.

I have been watching dancing with stars since the beginning. When I started to see good talent was on the 5 season when Joey and Apollo. I started notice that change of selection of people participating in the dance competiion. I feel if you are able to feel the music and be able to move gracefully on the various dances then you can do it. This is one area I would to dance.

Kristi had the talent to take them all. It was about time to see someone dance and able to dance to all categories without making yourself as a fool.

Congradulation Kristi and Mark for making the views to understand what dancing is about.

I think Kristie is a winner in more ways than just dancing. She has the fineese, the style and the class that totally beat the other two finalist. I have been watching the show since the first season it was on and I am tired of seeing the professional dancers (i.e. Edyta)who cannot dance without the skimpy clothes! I really think they dress like that so no one will pay attention to the bad performances from their partners and hope that all will be watching them. Don't they see it just makes them look cheap! Kristie is true talent, she did not have to wear the skimpy clothes or take off her shirt like the men seem to do every season to get the female vote. Go Kristie!!

I love Kristi and I want her to win. People are so miss-informed with regards to her skating. In the beginning of her competitive skating career she DID skates pairs. Her partner was Rudy Galindo. Also, she skated for years with Stars on Ice after the Olympics so she is a performer, but on ice skates not heels. As far as people saying she knows how to perform in front of a audiance...well Christian is an actor so he should too!!

I dont feel its fair for an olympic skater to have been allowed into this competition. She is a trained ice dancer and this should be taken into consideration in future competitions. These other people have to work their butts off to get to where they are...its almost a walk in the park for her...instead of ice...its wood...ohhhh thats a big diff...most skaters practice lifts on wood anyway...yeah right lets put lance armstrong in a charity bike competition againts snuffalufagus and see who wins LOL

I don't have a problem with Kristi winning as much as I have a problem with the judges' attitudes. Throughout the entire series we were constantly hearing how perfect she is, how great she is, etc. Essentially we were watching just to see who would snag second place, because it was obvious the judges wanted Kristi to win, hands down, and didn't want anyone else to think they stood a chance. I hated when they gave poor Cristian those 7's after his injury, when we know his dance (although not worthy of 10's) deserved better, and then constantly reminding him how "amazing" he is for continuing after the injury. The same with having to hear about how "amazing" Marlee Matlin was for competing as a deaf person. Comparing Marissa to Kristi, telling Cristian his lifts can't hold a candle to the others because of the injury...those types of comments bother me more than Kristi having any kind of previous experience.
