I, too, was very pleased with how Grey's Anatomy ended the season. It definitely made me happy that I watched it :o) I liked the moments you chose, but I also liked the "revelation" that Dr. Bailey is a sci-fi geek...It made me laugh to hear her go through the whole Han Solo story while the other doctors just stared at her...It kinda reminded me of my husband, who is also a bit of a sci-fi geek...

This year's "NCIS" finale was surprising...not the death of Jenny Shephard (who else would be expendable?) but the last scene where the new director reassigns everyone and gives hands Gibbs a new team! Didn't see that coming -- should make the next season interesting (although I hope they don't repeat "House" plotlines).

The series finale of 'Newhart' is a classic. It was both a wonderful tribute to the original 'Bob Newhart Show' and a terrific jab at the horrible 'Dallas' 'Bobby-in-the-Shower' resolution. .

The best moment in "The Office" finale was the last moment, featuring Dwight and Angela in a very passionate embrace. Kevin and Holly were fantastic, think Kramer and Mel Torme in that Seinfeld episode a decade back. I could have done without Jim/Pam and the Andy proposal. Just filler writing. Season four was a mixed bag of so-so writing with some interesting plots. I wish the writers could reach back and capture the fun of the first three seasons.

I thought the whole 2 part finale of House was fantastic. Great performances by Robert Sean Leonard as Wilson, Anne Dudek as Amber and the always terrific Hugh Laurie as House. For the first time, House showed some emotion as it was apparent he really cared.

How I Met Your Mother - The LOOK that Barney gave Robin when teased about the things that flashed before him when the bus hit him.

Grey's - Finally, Mere's free(er) of her mom-Derek issues. Let's see if they can be together without being annoying.

Ugly Betty - That was some cliffhanger! I think Betty will go the "I choose me" route, a la Kelly Taylor.

On the Office finale, Michael Scott and the new HR person, Holly, are sitting in the floor talking and Michael uses a goofy "Cookie Monster" voice. Holly gives him a "look", which subdues him for a moment, and then Holly responds to Michael's comment in the same goofy voice. The look on Michael's face was priceless. Holly seems to be a perfect match for Michael Scott (I guess it's true - there really is a match out there for everyone). We're worried sick about Jan screwing that possibility up for Michael by involving him in her pregnancy.

...and let's not forget the series finale of "MASH" - by far the best and most watched finale - ever. although i disagree with the consensus mentioned. '...Earl' is not what i would deem to call good television. it's just me. I don't like the show. I find it panders to the dumbing down of the nation. As for 'The Office,' - see the above-mentioned comment. And of course you notice, no one has mentioned the season finale of 'Criminal Minds." Now that one is a cliff-hanger. And to think I have to wait until September to find out who and why.

The Gilmore Girls, Macgyver and Will & Grace , I liked the last episode of Newhart too, that had to be the most ingenious one.
Although not really part of the topic and I apologized, but I loved Crossing Jordan and really hated how they ended.

Criminal Minds had an absolutely awesome cliff-hanger. I don't want to see any one of them go!! I was so disappointed about the non-Jim/Pam engagement: it reminds me of how I felt when my now-husband didn't propose the weekend I was expecting him to! Well done by the screenwriters.

House definitely had the best season finale by far. It was probably the most intense, powerful, poignant and heartbreaking hour of television I have ever watched. And the acting was incredible! Hugh Laurie was fantastic as always, but Robert Sean Leonard and Anne Dudek blew me away with their amazing acting. I was especially impressed with Leonard's acting. Wow!!! I was in tears by the time the episode was over. Definitely the most memorable finale of them all.

I can't choose between Grey's Anatomy and Criminal Minds. They were both awesome. Grey's Anatomy was a relief with Meredith and Derrick reuniting (Rose was nice but too insecure for me) and Criminal minds was suspenseful with the SUV explosion. The split screen was awesome.

Supernatural. I figured they'd go with the usual TV formula and have Dean saved at the very last minute. Jensen Ackles was excellent. The only thing that could have made this finale better would be a Big Daddy Winchester cameo.

Newhart, MASH, and Mary Tyler Moore for "oldies", and Lost, Criminal Minds, Ghost Whisperer and House for the "newbies". Don't watch NCIS or Earl. And STOPPED watching Grey's - Can't stand MEREDITH! Who would want this snively, whiney, nothing of a person? yuck! :-)
