About the Sonic ads. Those of us in Sonic country also have to suffer through ads for places like Jack In The Box and Sizzler that we can't visit. Things are tough all over.

Wow, I just read the lawsuit story about Ped-Egg. I see that the two models in the add/lawsuit are a married couple that also particpated in The Amazing Race. I believe they are Kelly and Johnathan, one of the meanest couples ever to run the race. I could be wrong on that but I don't recall TAR having too many mean, cruel red-headed participants.

I despise any and all Wendy's commercials, because all the Wendy's restaurants in my area are closed. Damn frosties. When I go out of town however, that is the 1st place I look for. And the BK Big Headed King commercials just freak me out.

Those Sonic Commercials are very effective. I had some family come in from out of town. All they wanted to eat was sonic, they saw the commercials and have beencraving it ever since.

RE: The Taco Bell Rap Ads
In the beginning of the commercial, you hear a female welcome them to Taco Bell. Then, the driver says "What's up, Stephanie?" You get the impression that they are schoolmates.
I actually thought that commercial was creative and NOT deserving of the worst award.

The new Wendy's commercial about the smoothie things is nothing great, but their darn rock-n-roll version of "Turkey in the Straw" with the drums and electric guitar gets stuck in my head every single time..It would really be an upgrade for the local ice cream trucks to download this killer new version..

Roast beef, I'm thinkin' Arby's. Philly Cheese Steak, I'm thinkin' Arby's. Chow mein, I'm thinkin' Arby's. Sangria, I'm thinkin' Arby's. Why? maybe it has something to do with the fact that I'm seeing an annoying imaginary cowboy hat perched on my head. When I think of lousy food ads, I'm thinkin' Arby's!

I don't mind the Subway ads but I hate the Quiznos' ads. Gross! And Carl's Jr/Hardee's; I will never eat at one of those restaurants. The way the show people eating their food is disgusting. Licking fingers and food falling out all over the place-double gross!!

I do like Jack In The Box ads. These are really well-thought

My husband just bought a brand new Harley 4 weeks ago. One of his reasons for getting it was so he could drive to a Sonic in Iowa. I guess one of our cars wouldn't cross the border but what do I know about that. I DO know that a new Sonic just opened in St. Paul, 23 miles from us.

Luckily we are getting a Sonic about 20 minutes away later this year, so I no longer have to complain about them. I'll be able to judge for myself what their food is like.

Hopefully, they won't be anything like Steak N Shake, whose food I LOATHE and their commercials are no better. I went there once and wouldn't dare to go back.

I positively detest the Nutri System add withthe woman in the bikini bragging about, "Look at me, I lost 40 lbs. She has black make-up around her eyes and looks like an owl. The worst part is that she loves football. Women can like football, too. It comes on Fox News every 5 minutes and I switch to the weather. She has caught on and it comes on the weather station and never misses a beat. You can't get rid of her. I hate that when that happens.

Everytime those Sonic commercials come on, I want to scream. There is no Sonic within 50 miles of me! But obviously the ads are working because I am tempted to drive the 50 or so miles to see what the big deal is!

Becky, there are 3 Wendy's now in the St. Louis area. One is on Page Ave, one ins in Florissant on N. Lindberg. Finally there is on in St. Peters on MidRiver Road.

Has anyone noticed that in those Sonic ads, the guys are wearing fake seatbelts when the car's actual seatbelts are tucked behind the front seats. I don't know why this bugs me, but it does.

The new "Mr. Bill" ads are hysterical! Best bit of television advertising in a LONG time.

I like the Taco Bell rap ads, personally. I agree w/ Allan in Omaha. They say the girl's name at the beginning. I mean, If I had a friend that worked at a fast food place, I know I'd mess with them. Hell I've had fast food workers I don't even know mess with me on the intercom. One of the actually barked.

I first had Sonic when I lived in Oklahoma and I loved it. Then I moved to Idaho and drooled whenever I saw Sonic commercials on CMT and a few other cable channels. We got a Sonic last year and it sucks. Oh well. Sonic "helped" me gain weight in an unhappy marriage and they're "helping" me keep that weight off now.

I also hated those Quizno's commericals with that little baby on them. I don't remember the stupid stuff he said but he reminded me of a baby Billy Mays trying to sell me a flippin' sandwich.

The BK and Jack in the Box commercials annoy me. Especially Jack's commercial for the two free tacos if you bring in a gas receipt on June 26. I can't eat their tacos ever since my mom found a worm in one. And who makes tacos with American cheese anyway? And I would rather see some other kind of compensation for the sky high gas prices than a couple of crummy tacos.

The Taco Bell rap ads are actually not very original. A nationally syndicated morning-show radio program has been doing that bit for quite some time now (Taco Bell is also a major sponsor of the show. Coincidence? Probably not.)

I HATE the DQ antidisestablishmentarianism ad!!! It is the ONLY commercial in which I IMMEDIATELY change the channel to ANYTHING else when it comes on. It is just SO STUPID. The only thing worse is ITS MY MONEY AND I NEED IT NOW!!

I agree with Shari about the nutrisystem ads. Maybe not the worst commercials out there, but definitely annoying. Especially with the woman who says "I'm not your average girl. I LOVE football. How many girls can say that." Honestly, quite a few. Those commercials are pretty rude and reinforce the stereotype that overweight people are worthless.
