I totally agree...My hubby and I are late-comers to House, so we also end up watching the various "House-a-thons" that come on during the week in an attempt to catch up on some of what we've missed...

Someone here at work said that it's too much of a "formula" show...But, I don't have time for shows like Lost where you ARE lost if you don't catch every episode...And, even though I know the "formula" for the show, it's the characters that keep me coming back for more...

Please don't try to turn House and Cuddy into another "Will they or won't they"! I'm comfortable with letting thirteen go since her character is so out of balance.

I do like the new PI that house has started to buddy up with. It's interesting to see House so powerless against someone who is out of his sphere of influence but whom he also seems to like, possibly as a friend.

I love House. I love the House formula. I have watched from the first epi and though I was bummed when the old team was ditched I have come to enjoy Taub & Kutner. Thirteen can go, she is too forced. I would definately like to see more Wilson. I have always been a fan of RSL and really like his foil to House on the show. Whatever they do I am totally looking forward to the new epis!

I think Thirteen is far more compelling than Cameron, though I did like her. Oliva Wilde is also a far superior actress to Ms. Morrison, which I don't think anybody can quesiton.
The staleness comes from Foreman and Chase. Chase has one expression (a benign stoic look) and Foreman can maybe must up two on ocassion (skepticism and anger). Boot those two, bring Cameron back up, and you've got a great cast.

I LOVE House, and I don't deny that the plots are very predictable at times (i.e the patient always vomits blood sometime during the episode). But I really enjoy Thirteen's character. If anyone should go, I think it should be Taub. I find him the most boring. I like the chemistry between House and Cuddy, but the two of them can never be together. House is meant to be miserable. Hugh Laurie's acting is incredible. I can't wait for the new episodes.

I have been a devoted 'House' watcher from the time that Robin Tunny began speaking jibberish in front of her kindergarten class. That being said...To me it sounds like the Fonz is revving up his engine, and yes there it is, 'House' has jumped the shark. But wait it wasn't the Fonz riding the motorcycle it was '13'. what a brain drain she creates everytime she appears on screen. If she left and took the Australian doctor with her, then maybe the show could be un-Shark-Jumped if that is a phrase, and if it isn't I claim exclusive creativity on it. Jewish Doctor and Indian Doctor are great, the Original Girl Doctor is better than 13 and I would like to see her back on the team. Black Doctor can leave and the show wouldn't suffer or benefit either way. Wilson, this guy is such a poor actor he hurts the show, he needs to go too. The House-Cuddy will they won't they needs to go the way of they won't, drop it, they are better adversaries then the next Sam and Dianne. The idea of new episodes doesn't thrill me, if the show dropped off the face of the TV schedule I wouldn't miss it.

If House is formulaic, and follows the idea of residents serving time as diagnosticians with the great Gregory House, then you also have to accept that eventually they will move on and become grown up doctors on their own, as Chase, Cameron and Foreman have done. Foreman remains as a foe and foil and control for House (so Cutty doesn't have to) and the others are just background noise. Thirteen should have been fired for taking drugs, and she was in that episode, and should not have been kept on at all. Foreman kanoodling with her during the drug trials totally deflates the validity of the research--everyone knows that. He now should be removed as a drug research doctor. He and Thirteen should be ousted, a new fellow for working with House found, and a total shake-up would ensue keeping us all glued to our seats. Love love LOVE Hugh Laurie.

I agree that Thirteen and Chase are expendable. Foreman has become boring. I really miss Cameron (and why the heck is she a blonde now?). Cuddy as a mommy is more than forced, and a bit sexist (if the hospital administrator was a single man, would the writers need to give him a baby?).
But Wilson is a fine actor (see him in Much Ado About Nothing) who has been given little to work with. The writers pretty much give him the same moods and the same things to say every week.

Get rid of 13, she's imbalanced and a distraction from the older, closer to reality based show that made it such a hit.

Get rid of Foreman too. He's a tired and boring character and should be dropped as should both Chase and Cameron.

I'd personally like to see Staci back with some rivalvry between her and Cutty over House and I would LOVE to see the gal from the South Pole episode return, shatter both Cutty and Staci and stick around for a few episodes before she moves on.

House isn't based on relationships and it should remain that way. Keep that revolving door flowing...

Personally, I would boot Cameron and Foreman from the show and simply bring Thirteen's story back into proportion and better integrated into House's story, since everything should lead back to him. Even out of balance, I enjoy Thirteen more than Cameron. Keep Chase--Jesse Spencer is a subtle actor who works well of Hugh Laurie. And probably most importantly, kill the six act structure which makes it so hard to get involved with the stories.

First, it amazes me that we all like a show where the main character is such a heartless bastard, but here we are. Wilson is needed to put some sense of humanity back into the mix, Cameron is good, Chase is more useless now than before, I'm growing weary of Foreman's role as foil to whatever House says, Taub and Kutner are good additions, and 13 is... well, hot, but I don't know if that's sufficient reason to keep her around. I do not approve of the will they/won't they between House and Cuddy, as too many good shows have been ruined by that dynamic.

I have watched House from the very first episode and haven't missed a single one. (I know, no life...) Anyway, as I was reading all the comments I kept saying, "wait, people! Don't you understand the whole program that the 'students' are in? They are SUPPOSED to move on and become specialty doctors in their own respective areas - they're not meant to stay with House forever (thanks, Kimicheese for posting it, too!) I think it was brilliant that they were able to accomplish this realistic process AND keep the 'old' characters (Cameron, Chase and Foreman) around. Regarding the individual people, I never really liked Cameron before, too whinny and wimpy, but I do like her relationship with House now - she respects him but also won't let him get away with anything. I think Chase has the potential to be a great character, and does what he can with what is written for him, but he would be better served with better dialog. I love the Foreman-in-the-supervisory role - remember that he has such a fear of becoming House one day... Also love the new crew of doctors (Taub, Kutner and 13), but while I disagree with the anti-13 group writing here (why does it have to be a choice that either Cameron or 13 stay? Why not both?) I do agree that I don't really care for her on a personal level - I mean, I wouldn't be friends with her in real life, however I like her character for the show. It's more realistic to have annoying people, humorous people, sad people, etc. - it's more like the real world... I've never had a problem with Wilson and like that he stands up to house and makes him look in the mirror. My only negative comment would have to be about the potential House/Cuddy relationship. I guess in my mind's eye, i concocted that they may have dated back in medical school or something and that they were just friends now. She hired him for his mind at the hospital and while it's nice to see that side of him from time to time (with the ex, Stacy, etc.) I HATE the idea that he and Cuddy could potentially end up together. Oh - and I HATED AMBER - sorry she died (for Wilson's sake) but SO GLAD she's gone!

I love the show and hate to miss an episode. I love watching reruns even though I have seen each and every one. I like all the doctors except for Taub. I don't know he just gets under my skin. Maybe because he played the husband in Starter Wife and I didn't like him in that.

As far as I know Stacy was not his wife just his health care proxy and she is a great actress and their storyline was good. I could not believe it when he walked away from her when they had traveled to Boston.

I am okay with Cameron coming back but Chase needs to stop being such a kiss up to House

I also love the old cast of Cameron, Foreman, and Chase. My husband and I just got hooked on House this past fall so we are renting the 1st 4 seasons through Netflix. We are currently on the last DVD of Season 3. When I watch the new episodes after seeing the old ones, I realize how much more I like the old cast than the new cast.

The thing I don't understand is why they have Cuddy dress like a slut all the time. If she's supposed to be a believeable hospital administrator, she wouldn't be showing that much cleavage.

I agree with you on everything except I don’t Chase to go. He's become much more like House than Foreman and I'd like to see the two of them interact for more than twenty seconds. Now, I understand people saying the original fellows are supposed to move on because in real life they would, but in real life House would be jobless (to say nothing of the non-existence of a Diagnosis Department in reality, the improbability to run with a thigh muscle removed, being shot, being in a bus crash and being taken hostage without developing some kind of anxiety disorder (yet?) plus being contacted by the FBI, etc). Realism is a relative term. I don't see why it should only be valid when it implies having the old team back! :-)

They screwed up by killing Amber. She was good. Wilson is awesome. We need to see more of him. Don't bring Stacy back. I watch season 1 & 2 repeats on the USA channels. They show House with a heart, 3 ducklings who were interesting, a best friend who was a great balance, and a boss with a professional backbone. And yes, I admit to shipping House with Cameron.

Now? I watch because I think Hugh Laurie would be great reading a telephone book and because friends still watch, but it's so painful. But I catch the eps when they repeat a week later on USA because NCIS is my favorite current show. A show that saw no reason to mess with the formula or bloat their cast.

And the response of House to all the outcry and criticism? Move the show to the most watched night of TV: Monday. Oh yeah, that'll fix it. *rolls eyes*

I can't really agree. Sure, 13 gets a lot of screentime - but replacing her with Cameron? No! I was happy to see Cameron gone. She annoyed the hell out of me in season 1-3. Replacing her is the easiest thing to do. I much rather watch Foreteen happen (they are kinda cute) than seeing Cameron making puppy eyes at House (or Chameron for that matter).

What seems to be the wrong thing for the producers to do was trying so hard to keep her and Chase around. It makes the cast too big. Sure, I'd miss Chase a lot but making them guest stars who pop up for special occasions seems a much better choice. I mean - who interns at Diagnostics and then goes to run the ER? Awful storyline.

I'm really happy with the Huddy development. I've been waiting for it since s1! They make a great couple. Although i feel the witers are dragging it out a bit too much.

Also: House and Wilson and Cuddy seem to be most important. Why does Wilson have so little screentime? 13 seems to have more screentime than House even lately.

OK, I haven't read the whole thread, so forgive me if somebody's already suggested this, but the needed fix is obvious: Chase should go (shouldn't be too hard to come up with a premise for him moving back to Australia), and Thirteen (or is it 13?) should begin an affair with Cameron. Thirteen's interest in women is well established, and so is Cameron's in casual sex, so it's a natural... and this way, fans can stop arguing over which hot-babe doctor to keep.

BTW, please don't bring back Stacy or continue down the road to House-Cuddy romance, and Foreman doesn't need a love interest, either. By now it's pretty obvious neither of these guys is ever going to have a successful romance; watching them try and fail isn't interesting, it's just painful.

I certainly hope they scrap the Cutty/House and Foreman/Thirteen romances. I love the show and missing an episode is not an option. I got hooked during the second season but now have viewed every eposide at least twice. I think Taub is supposed to get on your nerves, I love Wilson; haven't made up my mind about the PI yet. I watched maybe 10 episodes. it is all the same old crap, rehashed. Hugh Laurie is just not shocking and edgy.

Same old formula...An illness, disease, whatever strikes, and the "team" (geez, when did everyone have to have a team?) must race into action. Oh, cannot forget the amazing "which one will get dropped?" hook in the storyline.

Same old, same old. A show called M*A*S*H had that happen when cast members left and were replaced.

I came in sometime during the second or third act, so I can't be as spastic as some fans. Which may be why I still watch the show. I have to know what happened to House to make him what he is. His character obviously knows how people tick even though he doesn't play well with others. Why is this? He used to be human. What events transpired (it had to be more than his leg)to change this? And if this were reality, I would absolutely NEVER go to be a guinea pig at that hospital.("If she dies, then I was wrong")
As far as some of the other characters; in real life, doctors would get what is to be gotten out of their fellowship and then move on as "real" doctors. But I agree about 13. She can go. Foreman's character has so-o-o many avenues that could be explored with some creative writing. House/Cutty thing shouldn't get very far. He's attracted to her, she's in a vulnerable place, leave it at that. Wilson's character needs some growth. He's become too one dimensional.

I love House. Having spent a number of years working in a excellent teaching hospital I relate to much of the workings of the show. I watch it because House, in many respects, very authentic. People don't believe me when I tell them House reminds me of some of the doctors I worked with! It's true! The original fellows need to move on, Cuddy does need to dress more professionally, Wilson needs more to work with both on a personal and professional level with House, bring Staci back for awhile, and explore Thirteen more realistically. I could do without the bisexual element since it seems everybody is throwing that into the mix recently. Also, please, please don't do another story arc like the one with David Morse. I love David Morse as an actor but that story was so unrealistic I quite watching until that it was done. Just wouldn't have happened. There are lots of story possibilities for the Thirteen character. Love to the two guys. Also, why doesn't House do more consulting with other physicians? They may hate him personally but he'd be swamped by his peers wanting his professional opinion. Personalities are put aside when doctors, surgeons, etc. are trying to work out their own medical puzzles. And, whether or not House likes it, he WOULD have to attend a certain number of continuing medicine workshops proving he's keeping up with the latest in medical research. Wouldn't that be a scream? He'd also have to give some--

I statred wathcing House from the beginning because it was billed as a medical mystery. I kept watching because I loved Roberts Sean Leonard's Wilson and his interaction with Hugh Laurie's House. Wilson seemed to humanize House providing glimpses into his humanity. While I still watch the show, I cannot stand the House character. I think a 50 year man acting like a prepubescent boy is not funny or sexy or attractive. It's just painful to watch. I have not watched the last 3 episodes in their entirety - just the Wilson and House/Wilson parts.

The Cuddy character, the ridiculously juvenile Huddy romance, and the Cuddy's baby momma drama are a stretch even for a make believe TV reality drama. Just totally and completely ridiculous.

I was glad to see the old team go and very unhappy when they returned. I like Taub and Kutner but I don't see any bromance there. One is short and barely attractive and the other one is made to look goofily unattractive. Bromance requires that both people are attractive and well-matched. That's just not the case with Taub and Kutner.

I'll keep watching the show because I love Robert Sean Leonard's Wilson. But really, it's no longer my favorite show. And yes, the show has jumped the shark. And the most recent spoilers suggest that it's going to get worse before it gets better.

The House/Cuddy twisted domesticity is the hottest affair on tv right now, the chemistry absolutely zings between Hugh Laurie and Lisa Edelstein in all of their scenes. I also love every scene with Wilson and his dark, confused, nagging self. The original flavor fellows (Cameron, Chase, and Foreman) need to depart the show in a dignified manner as they have no interesting storylines to pursue anymore.

Thirteen is a bit tiresome, but I am loving both Kutner and Taub. These newcomers bring much needed complexity to the show. Shedding the old fellows ASAP will allow more breathing room to fully develop the new ones. Of course, Hugh Laurie rocks so hard and amazingly he continues to do so after five years. The guy is a genius. Where is that Emmy anyway?

I have watched this show from the very first episode. Hugh Laurie is brilliant, and it always amazes to me that he never wins any of the awards that he is consistantly nominated for.

That being said, I do agree that "House" could use a little streamlining. There are too many cast members. Like most of the people here, I think that Chase and Thirteen should go, and I hate to say it, but I think Foreman should probably be cut as well. Keep Cameron, Cuddy, and Wilson, and DEFINITELY keep Kutner and Taub (I love those guys!). I beg of you by all that is holy and sacred...NEVER bring Stacy back. I have nothing against Sela Ward as a person...I've never met her, but Stacy and House had zero chemistry. Also, please stay away from characters that are brought in to be a thorn in House's side (Vogler and Tritter). They are nothing but a distraction and annoyance.

I don't think that the show has gotten anywhere near the shark pond, but it may be swimming with some eels and puffer fish or two. It just needs to refresh and refocus, and it will be back to the show that we all once loved.

I agree that Thirteen definitely needs to go. I was willing to give her a chance last season but the amount of screentime and focus that has been given to the character has been ridiculous. In some episodes she has even been getting more screentime than Hugh Laurie. The character has been a complete flop and is dragging down the show. The writers need to back off and stop trying to shove her down the viewer's throats. And the Boreteen romance has zero chemistry.

I've loved House since it premiered. As a healthcare professional, I enjoy watching the medical mysteries. How the hospital is run does take a lot of dramatic license, but the basics are right. As for the cast, I love House - he doesn't need to change a bit. Cameron, I could do without though she seems to be growing a pair. Chase is OK though Foreman is an a$$ sometimes. I have no problem with the current crew, even though I'd like the soap opera aspects to go. I couldn't care less about anyone's love-life or baby issues. Can't stand Stacey so I never want to see her back. There's a reason I loathe shows like Grey's Anatomy; too melodramatic. I don't want to see House go the way of ER.

I've never been a huge fan of Chase, but I actually like him much more now than when he was part of the team. I'd also worry that getting rid of him would mean a breakup of Chase and Cameron and then the writers would try to stick Cameron back with House. That simply would not do.

Thirteen can stay or go, I don't really care. I don't like her but I don't dislike her, either. Her relationship with Foreman came totally out of the blue, though. I agree that they have zero chemistry. As for Taub and Kutner, I think they're great additions and the two characters work really well together. Besides, I just love Kutner in general.

I totally disliked the Stacy episodes. I agree they had no chemistry together, and she has ruined her beautiful face with botox. I don't want any of the old or new cast to go, but the show was much better with the old cast. The new doctors don't seem as sharp.
Get rid of the Cutty-House storyline. Even the writers can't make that concept interesting. At their ages, all that game playing should be long over.

It didn't add to the show and, in fact, detracted from it because it essentially was pointless. Thirteen is shallow and doesn't have chemistry with the rest of the team. I'm all about keeping Chase...I like him and his accent...although a tad more positivity in his attitude would be nice. My fav fellow is Cameron. Reading this column it's as if someone was inside my head! My friend and I love HOUSE ( I too get caught up on the House-athons) and think the original team was better. I’ve watched several episodes of House and I think it is appalling. Dr. House makes no bones about drug use on duty that would get his medical license pulled in every state in the country. He bullies, castigates, and humiliates staff and patients alike in ways that would produce massive legal settlements against him and his hospital in a New York minute (or a minute anywhere else). More significantly, the ‘great diagnostician’ Dr. House, produces his diagnosis on the basis of gut decisions with less thought (and less time) than most people put into deciding whether they want a latte or a cappuccino. This may make for an entertaining spectacle of anti-social, drug-addicted, abusive, anti-intellectual behavior, but it is a very poor representation of medical practice. I don’t know about you, but I would not be entertained if my physician looked at me from across the room and declared (derisively) “LUPUS” or “CANCER” or “PANCREATITIS”, with no history, no probing about other symptoms, no physical exam, no laboratory evaluation, no imaging studies, and most importantly, NO THOUGHT. It is a sad commentary that so many see House as a great doctor, when in fact he is a sad loser whose medical practice would be lethal in real life.

I love the show, even though some of its plot lines have begun to border on the ridiculous--if it weren't for the glib winking of Hugh Laurie as he takes the scene by the horns and in essence says, "Check out what I can do with THIS bunk," I'd be laughing for an entirely different reason.

I also love that almost every patient gets diagnosed at least once with amyloidosis each show. It's the writers' FAVORITE illness. I really should start paying attention to who gets to toss that out each week...it does tend to rotate.

House is one of my fav shows, been watching since the beginning. During this break in new eps, I've been marathoning the DVDs. (Season one is so good) and it's fun to see the differences from the pilot which used much darker lighting (including the ladies hair) and sans the cool Massive Attack theme song. There were alot of seizures in S. 1. It's also fun to track the evolution of the white board. Remeber when they tried the clear board? That was ousted quick and back to the plain white board. I would like to see more House/Wilson they are fun odd couple. I too am a little tired of 13. I'm rolling with the story lines, and I too love the formula. Someone is sick, oh no they are worse, now they're better, oh no there not, puzzle solved. "Sarcoidosis!" I win. My "ER" word win is paratenial lavage.

It's just about a universal sentiment among fans and critics alike that 13 needs to go. Foreman, Taub, or Kutner--any of them should be cut before Chase. Jesse Spencer is the most compelling actor of the four men and his character has a wonderful background of loyalty and betrayal that makes him unpredictable. Chase hasn't had much of a role in the last season and a half, but his scenes are still highlights when he's on. He lights up the screen and adds an element to the show that would be--and is--sorely missed when he's not there. Taub, as a plastic surgeon, has the most ridiculous speciality of all the doctors. Kutner is bland. Foreman isn't known as Boreman for nothing. Chase, for the most part, is beloved by the fans and he should stay.

I think the problem, then, isn't the characters, but the ridiculous storylines they are getting. Obviously this show has brilliant medical writers but lacks writing muscle in creating ongoing plotlines which are consistent with the characters identities. I was just thinking today how I disagree with all the viewers wanting the original team back. The Taub/Kutner interaction is fun (especially the epie with the internet doc diagnosis/advice. I like that they don't spend time agonizing over how warped House is and (heaven forbid) they could become like him through association! We saw how coveted and hard won these spots were. They knew what they were getting into and don't get all angst ridden over House.

I think the Cameron character was too bland. Like 13 better but agree that the integration still seems awkward.

In the hospital for the complex disease that can't be cured anywhere else and always arguing with the team about the environmental impact of all the work they must do to cure him. For the old gang he was Dr Victor Ehrlich on St. Elsewhere back in the early 80’s so he should remember some of the medical lingo. Or he could show up as Dr Ehrlich again for all I care. Personally, Chase is my favorite character on the show other than House himself. He's played by a talented, versatile actor, and has good chemistry with House. He's a bit of a jerk, a bit of a nice guy, and a bit of a mystery - largely on the actor's doing, since it's not like the writers have thrown much his way. I'd love it if they actually gave him something to do other than jump in with a snarky comment now and then. Of course, maybe that's the magic - he doesn't have "long boring story arc syndrome" like half the other characters.

The weird thing about Thirteen is that I like the character, but despise the way her story has hijacked the show. It seems like she's on-screen more than House some weeks, and frankly, while she's a good actress, Olivia Wilde's no Helen Mirren, and that's what you'd need to make that tolerable.

The only thing I do like about the Foreteen storyline is that it could break Foreman out of the dull, dour place he's been stuck since coming back. I got sick of Foreman trying to blame everyone else for his problems long ago. Awesome Foreman can come back anytime.

Cameron always annoyed me on House's team, but I've liked her in her new role in the ER. Sending her back to House's team would be such a step backwards.

Taub and Kutner are funny - and thus far, that's all the good I can say about them. That seems like a disappointing waste of two strong actors who are supposed to be in a drama.

14 year old son turned me on to House. I had never seen the show. We OD on marathons during the holidays. I am now a fan and can't wait for the new episode to begin. I don't think I've enjoyed a commercial program as much since ALF. Hugh is incredible, Cuddy is smokin', and I hope House does her real good, and then spends several episodes spilling the beans (any of you insecure, controlling women out there who don't understand that the sexism is part of the foundation of the show (it is titled "House" isn't it?), should pull your heads out and go somewhere else), and both of the teams, are tons of fun (except Taub). I wouldn't complain a bit if Foreman was dumped, he is like a wet stick lying in the corner (exciting as a), and his acting is crap.
The formula is obvious to even the untrained eye, but House brings so much personality to the formula, that I still look forward to every episode, and own all seasons on DVD, and watch them again and again.

Need to get rid of 13 she is just plain dull. Taub needs to go as well. Even though my husband likes 13 I could do without her. In my opinion bring Cameron back and Chase I can do without Foreman he acts like he gets his poor feelings hurt if someone doesn't do it his way. MORE WILSON!!! I love to watch the House and Wilson interactions. Cuddy also needs to stay, I love when she gives House such a hard time. Like I said my hubby and I have different opinions but come on ladies we all love seeing "House" on screen, right?

House remains one of the best characters on tv- too bad the writers are failing him with his supporting cast. I have to agree with the poster who said that Cuddy's Christmas miracle baby was too contrived. As hospital administrator that would have been quite the conflict of interest. I wish the writers would build on the House-Wilson relationship (always strong) and I have never understood the desire of some to want Cameron back when every one of her storylines consisted of her refusing to do something because of some trumped-up ethical dilemma in her head. The writers need to get a hold of this before an exceptional show gets cancelled.

I think the cast is too large....someone has to go.
Hey, I know! What about 13?? Can't stand her!!
Love Cuddy but DON'T want her and House together. Feels like they are pushing this story line on us for some reason. I don't believe for a minute that House loves Cuddy. Does anyone here?
I believe that House loves Stacy and I hope at the end of the series, she comes back and they live happily ever after.
LOVE Wilson. Whoever it was here that said that he was a bad actor is CRAZY...really CRAZY. He is the Ying to House's Yang. I like him second best in the cast.
Please keep Dr. House...Dr. House. He's who we fell in love with. He's who we watch HOUSE for.
I ADORE HUGH LAURIE and he is AMAZING to watch on HOUSE.
I want this show to last for many, many, more seasons.
When I tune into HOUSE, I want to see Dr. House NOT all of his 'ducklings'. Why don't the producers get that???

Mira Sorvino - the Antarctic (as far away as humanly possible from House), physical by net camera, a broken toe, simple glances and a guest appearance by a real actor who blows everyone else away. I like Thirteen! I think she's far, far more interesting than Cameron, who I always found to be extremely annoying. I think if any of the old team needs to go, it's Foreman. (Even if i like him with Thirteen).

They spend three years promoting Chase, Cameron and Foreman and I don’t want to let them go. They are very well written characters (unlike the new team) and there is still a lot to be learned about them. Their interactions with House are much more interesting, they respect House and care about him, which I can’t say about the new team. I just hope that maybe they will get rid of the new team in the next season and somehow bring the old team to work with House again, because they are the best!
And the most House’s like character is Chase, I really like his independence now and I want to know how he will develop in the future. And I would like to see more interactions between House and Chase because Laurie and Spencer play together wonderfully.

Chase... let go? Oh, I hope not. I like "House", but Chase and Cameron are my favorites. Well, I can be a minor in their fandoms, but there is a still "chameron" fan. I was looking foward to watch Season 5, but too much disappointment in here. Too much Thirteen, and hell I didn't even see "Forteen" is coming. And, writers totally ignore good characters like Taub/Kutner/Chase/Cameron... They've become extras, not supporting characters. Even, Willson becomes extra these days, IMHO. Writers need to get a grip for balancing these characters. This is "House M.D", not "13 M.D". And, I know real life couple is boken up (Jesse Spencer/Jennifer Morrison), but they are professionals, plese spice them up, and use them. They are actors. If you cannot write them, because of their personal issue, well... then, that's the time one or both of them leave the show for other characters sake. That's JMHO.

Interesting...a co-worker and I were just dissecting this show yesterday...We like Foreman, but miss the old crew. We watch for the medical mystery part and House himself. We don't need or want all the drama of relationships. Tell me about the characters, but no romance between them required. Need more Wilson and the PI was hilarious.

I wish that they would play with the format and surprise us. Have 2 or 3 people ill in sequence that need to be fixed.
The format has become too predictable.
Currently it is
0-20 minutes=early illness
20-30 minutes=liver or kidney failure is threatening
30-40 minutes=cardiac or respiratory arrest
40-50 minutes=miracle cure
55 minutes=revelation/final miracle cure

Love Wilson. Like the P.I. Taub & Kutner are okay. Chase can merrily go. Foreman is a total bore. Cameron is adding some spice now that she has a backbone. What I do NOT like is the attempts to sensationalize 13's character: as if the lesbian angle was not enough, let's throw in biracial love affair now. What's next for 13? Necrophilia as a transition to her impending death????

I agree that House has reached a point where it could use some editing. However, I love Thirteen. I think she is an excellent character with great depth. Her wrestling with mortality is all the more compelling. I'm with 'Ty.' Nix Chase and Foreman; move on to a team of Thirteen, Taub, Cameron, and Kutner. It allows for more male/female balance. And how about some genuine female friendships? Thirteen could use a friend; Cuddy needs a good, understanding friend, and Cameron would be great to fill those shoes.

Thirteen is a great character when they're not trying so hard to make her interesting or contrary. Taub is boring and can go, and I love Kutner. This season has been seriously lacking the House/Wilson/Cuddy action. What was with that kiss, right?!

I HATE Camerom and have from the very first episode, so I don't mind not seeing her as much. And I'm really tired of articles that say if the show got rid of Thirteen, there would be more screentime for Cameron, as though all females are inherently the same and one simply replaces another rather than having room for many in one show.
