Crash didn't deserve to win, but neither did Brokeback and of the two the better one won, even though Crash was only the fourth best of the five nominees. There was a powerful movie hidden behind the &amp;quot;art&amp;quot; in Brokeback, and there was a powerful movie hidden behind the sanctimony in Crash.
