I had to watch the episode a second time to not feel totally betrayed by it and the second time around I saw some real value in it's quality after the shock wore off that Chris was dead and how he died. Christopher, in my eyes and probably many others, was the 2nd most important character of the show. He represented Tony's views on the future, on being a mentor and also on fatherhood. I have always believed that the relationship between Chris & Tony was going to be the deciding factor on Tony's ultimate fate. It was an unpredictable relationship that not only made for great storyline but also some of the very best scenes in the entire series (Michael Imperioli & James Gandolfini are wonderful together). For Tony to kill him so matter of fact-ly and not have any remorse (maybe in the end he did depending how you read into that last scene) felt wrong. To me Tony & Chris's relationship was the father & son relationship in this series, and I just can't believe he is that much of a monster. Does this now mean that Tony will be forced to confront his issues with his own children? Will Tony relaize that he is a total failure as a father, husband, boss and friend? Will Tony realize that Christopher was more of a son to him than even his own (AJ) and totally go off the deep end in guilt? So many questions are out ther enow, but one thing is sure, this will definitely play into the ultimate demise of Tony, and it is certain now he has to suffer. In the first episode of the series Tony talked about the ducks and how he was afraid to lose his famly & that he admired the strong silent type (Gary Cooper), once Tony comes to the realization he has lost his family and that he is no Gary Cooper, he will self-destruct. Let's see how the last 3 episodes pan out. I am predicting less blodd bath, more slow building dark anguis like last night.

There is no proof Adriana is dead they never show a body and for that matter you never see her killed. Her "death" is assumed by fans all you see is a camera pan upwards and a gun shot nothing more. How do we know Silvio didn't intentionally miss and let her escape. For all we know Adriana could show up in the final episode and wack tony in his sleep. Every charactor death has been brutal however when it came to her impending doom. They show a bunch of trees and then you hear a gun shot. Until I see her wacked like Big Pussy or Vito her fate will be anything but dead.

Maybe the news of what happened to her will come out and bring Tony down.

For me, the amazing thing is that Chris was allowed to live as long as he had, with all the things he did not only to screw himself up but to place Tony and the crew in jeopardy. For Adriana to be alive, Silvio would have to be in the FBI's pocket also, and I find that difficult to accept. Tony is going to die in the finale because the DeMeo crime family is bigger than just one man, and Tony has become not only a liability but a danger to that family. Exactly who will put Tony out of his misery I am not sure, but I wouldn't count out Dr. Melfi: medical ethics or no, he has been her 'patient from hell'.

I'd be disappointed if the writers pulled a "no she's not REALLY dead" as if this was Days of Our Lives or something... She's dead--move on.

It would be great if somehow Adriana were still alive, maybe in witness protection in Sicily or Hong Kong or someplace, but that is just wishful thinking. The writers have had a fondness for killing off some of the more attractive characters, and the much-beloved Ade's murder was the cruelest blow of all. She was set up by the storyline to have to be executed, and the series has never been as good since. That Tony is long-overdue for his comeuppance, that Carmella looks the other way as long as she has her Kelly bag and her latest appliances, and that the whole loveable clan is getting away with murder won't matter a bit. There is no karma here---they are not going out with a bang.

I guess I viewed it differently then the rest of the commentators. I really think Tony was disgusted by Chris's own hypocrisy --- biting the hand that feeds him by criticizing the mob ways (ie saying he wants to smell the roses, but Pauly would shove it up his butt, thorns first), acting like he's renewed with the birth of his daughter, but still up to his old tricks. Tony is a ruthless killer, but he's a caring father and I think the sight of that baby seat, thinking Chris was still the cracked-up good for nothing who could have easily killed his daughter driving in that condition, pushed Tony to do it, thinking everyone (Tony included) would be better off without a weak addict like Christopher. Maybe he 'deserved' a better send off with more build-up, but really, if they did that, wouldn't fans have criticized it for being predictable?

If Adriana isn't dead, how do we know that Christopher is dead? If Chris and Ade aren't dead, that all this once great show will become is an un-realistic soap opera. Because of Chris's movie and the way it tied into the plot,there is a slight chance that Chris is not dead and he is cooperating with the FBI to bring Tony down and possibly told the Police what had happened and for them to tell the Hospital that Chris's died. However, this plot isn't likely due to the fact that he had an open casket wake. Even if Adriana came back, it really wouldn't have a big affect on the plot. If she just came back in the last episode and killed Tony, that would ruin all the plot that Chase has built up.

I think AJ is going to die and Tony will be in some way responsible . If you noticed AJ's story-line has been buiding to something big. I beleive Tony will be faced with the fact that both his biological and foster son are dead. I thought that the law would easily connect the dots to Chris and he would sing like the Temptations when he got arrested, as he already started to his deceased AA buddy. Christopher's death was unexpected, as was the way he died. Funny how art imitates life - NJ's Gov Corzine was just severly injured in an SUV, mainly because he wore no seatbelt...just like Chris-tuh-fuh. Christopher's death mimics life - not all gangsters end up with cement around their feet. Some - like Johnny Sack - even die in their beds. And some die because they're DUI. What Christopher's death really illuminates is Tony's opportunistic character. Just like the episode where Tony and Chris stumble on the two bikers stealing the cases of wine and decide to take some for themselves, Tony instantly seized on an opportunity to rid himself of someone who he had become disenchanted with. It's not like the Tony-Chris relationship was pure love. Seasons earlier, Tony had already taken Chris out to a field and pointed a gun at his head, and Christ had a major debit with Tony in the fact that Ade was an informant. Add the obvious Tony-bashing in "Cleaver," and I can see why Tony jumped in to suffocate Chris. He never gave it a second thought. Good writing. BTW - could it be that Chris shooting his writer friend in the previous episode was a portend of things to come? I mean, here's Chris killing off a guy working on a script for a mddle-of-the-road show like Law & Order, telling Chris exactly what he should be telling him as a fellow alchie ("sober up and get to a meeting"), and Chris kills him. Is it a coincidence that the writing in the very next episode comes up with death scene that is totally unconventional by Soprano standards?

There was no shock - we all grinned at each other, glad the shoe finally dropped. Tony has been furious at Chris for months but unable to find a reason to murder him. He had nothing but contempt for Chris's addictions, but refuses to acknowledge his own gambling addiction. He finally got his chance, justifying it in his head. He even went to Vegas, screwed one of Chris's hoochies and won some serious loot at the table as well. At the same time he thinks he's sidestepped getting the squeeze put on him by NY through illegal dumping. So the joyful look on his face when he exclaims "I did it!" is meaningful in more ways than one - he thinks he's finally broken his losing streak by offing Chris, like some bad luck charm. Though obviously something is lurking around the corner...

I think we're focusing on the wrong concepts here. Little may it be known, but the focal point of The Sopranos isn't surface level mobsters and crime life, it is about damnation and redemption. Tony is one of the few characters with a chance at salvation, as hes constantly witness to what he's "supposed" to do (quit the thug life, care for his family, "smell the roses", etc.), and attempts to rehabilitate himself through therapy, yet cannot part with the luxurious lifestyle (necessitating evil) that he has become accustomed to. Christopher, on the other hand, has notoriously been one of the most ruthless characters on the show - acting fully in self interest without remorse (the writers emphasized this in episode 32 when Chris spontaneously spirals back into drug abuse and kills his friend without reason). It is not a coincidence that we see Chris committing one of his most atrocious acts an episode prior to his death. He has turned his back on almost every character on the show and we see him paying for his sins. The writers do not give Christopher a shebang of a death because he is a low-life beyond saving. I believe this is fairly obvious. Back to Tony. This episode is highly correlated to Tony's coma journey. Digressing, when Tony's condition is worsening in reality, he is lost in the woods in his coma, only with his briefcase (identity). He stumbles upon a house with a bright light where his (dead) cousin Tony, another ruthless and evil character, tries to take the briefcase, coercing Tony to come inside. Tony knows something is wrong with the house and is reluctant to give up his briefcase. He eventually hears Meadows voice [Tony's guardian angel (as indicated by the clip in the Season 6 opener where Meadow dances and the narrator gives the Egyptian "Seven Souls Speech," speaking of the Khu, the guardian angel who can bring one back from the afterlife, when Meadow appears)] saying "Don't leave Daddy!", where Tony then approaches the voice and awakens. This event profoundly impacted Tony, as many believe the house was his death, or hell, and that he knows he almost went there (this is evidenced by his conversation with Phil in the hospital "I never told anyone this, but I went somewhere in my coma; I never want to go back there,"). Shortly after Tony recovers from the gunshot wound, he is more light-hearted and loving of his family and friends, caring less about the business and making "looser" transactions. But as he recovers and problems present themselves, he slips back into his ruthless and self-serving ways - almost turning his back on the revelation. Now in Episode 83, Tony kills Christopher (why I'm not totally sure), and randomly goes to Las Vegas with the intention of having sex and taking peyote with Chris' old call-girl. He does so, and crazy things start to happen. He gets philosophical at the roulette table (stating "the universe works on the same principle"), and hits three incredibly improbable wins in a row, as if he already knew what was going to happen. Does this mean Tony is beginning to understand the universe again, considering all things as a whole, not just the luxury hes got caught up in again? He then thinks of Christopher as dead, laughs, and keels over - almost as if the killing of Christopher lead him to his new knowledge. Does this mean that eradicating the evil things in his life will lead him back to his old conciousness? Tony and his new woman then drive to the desert and Tony again sees another one of the bright lights (the house, the bathroom light when he's vomiting, now the sun) that we've come to see. He stands up yells at the sun "I understand now!" The fact that this progression happens while he is on peyote, a truth drug to the American Indians, is of particular interest. Its like he went to Las Vegas with the intention of doing peyote (he approached her about it, very randomly) and attaining knowledge...and now he has done it. Is Tony back on the path to redemption?

This would be the ultimate irony because lets not forget what Tony despised most in the world, his mother and her controlling ways. Seems to me that Paulie was the logical character to die next and perhaps that's why he didn't. Tony had alot of opportunities and temptations on their recent road trip when Paulie was constantly irritating him. Chris has always been loyal to Tony whereas Paulie has sometimes strayed (with calls to Johnny Sack and overtures to Johnny's former boss). Maybe Tony killed Chris because on some level he felt he wasn't worthy of loyalty or maybe killing Chris was what Tony really wanted to do to that part of himself he finds depressing but doesn't have the courage to face. If you go back and read the history of the Decavalcante family of Elizebeth NJ. You will find that everything that has occurred on this show in the past eight years, has actually happened in similar fashion in real life. This includes the presence of the gay mobster being executed for being gay. This truly happened. The actual event which brought down the Decavalcante family was the murder of a journalist named Paul Weise. As you recall, Chris killed a writer in last weeks episode. Paul Weise was too close to many N.J. mobsters and was forced to bear the ultimate price. But not before he was involved in some illegal dumping of hazardous material in a New Jersey swamp, which caused the N.J. mob some grief. This occurred in last nights episode. Every mobster on the show seems to be based on a prominant member of the Decavalcante Family. Jackie Aprile, the original boss of the TV family, died of cancer. So did the senior member of the actual family. The family was then taken over by an incompetant senior member which caused a younger and smarter member named Vincent Palermo to take over the family operations while the other boss retained his title of Boss. In the show, Tony took over from Uncle Junior with every ounce of power without holding the title of boss. The mobsters hung out at a strip club named Wiggles (Bada Bing?). They perfomed critical family business from a pork store.(Satrials?). When all was said and done in real life, the entire Decavalcante family was arrested one day in an early morning operation which ultimatly destroyed the family. This occurred as the TV show was beginning its production in the late ninties. Vinnie Palermo, who Tony resembles the most, and about 35 to 40 of his "loyal" men all turned into federal witnesses. Tony at least, will do the same. The entire eight year run of the TV show has been a tongue and cheek play on a name this whole time. Last night, after ingesting some exotic drug, Tony was sitting in the desert and his presence of mind began to come of age in which he exclaimed "I Get It!". After all, what do sopranos do? They sing.

first, adrianna is dead, if syl was a mole , tony wouyld have bene in jail by the end of season one. second, this show has always revolved around (the) family, and tony killed chris when he looked back at the car seat and realized Chris' daughter would have been killed if she had been in it. Tony was protecting the family (both his and chris'). When tony cried at the end that he "gets it", it was because he realized that he has been worried about losing so much lately (gambling, the feds, getting the paper) that he had been fighting the realization that there was a new day coming. Yes, AJ will become his next in line (remember chrissy shoooting the guy in the foot at the bakery?? Aj does similar work on a deadbeat with his new friends) because Tony realizes that it is the only way for AJ to live with the Soprano "curse" of depression. Tony, with AJ and his new friends, are going to take down Phil and the rest of NY and he will be the boss of a new generation of the family, with AJ eventually becoming tony, and tony fading into retirement a la uncle june. This episode was great, but the shocking finale will be that at the end it will still go on, just as it did before the show started.

The running tag on the show is always "when they come at you, they come at what you love", but who is left for them to come at, Tony has himself killed his best friend Pussy, his cousin played by Steve Buscemi and now his defacto own son Chris... Nobody is going to kill his wife and kids because nobody who enough of a vendetta with Tony is left in the show... This is weak storytelling to say the least...

Christopher died as a result of an opportunity that presented itself to Tony, kind of serendipitous. The Boss saw an opportunity to protect him and the family and clipped him, clean and simple. Tony showed more emotion for the stripper Tracy being murdered by Ralph than by the death of Christoper. I sat there last night with my jaw hitting the ground after Tony murdered Chrissy. I kept waiting for Tony to break down with grief eventually but it never happened. Thought the whole "peote" scene was stupid. Kept expecting the whole episode to be a dream. He was attracted to her until he saw her breastfeeding the baby, thus reminding Tony of the family he had destroyed. That's why he went to LV to look up Chris's gal pal. If he couldn't sleep with the widow, then the other gal would do. His response to the movie depiction of the boss sleeping with his soldier's girl friend. I see Tony paying for his sins by enduring a huge family tragedy (e.g., A.J.'s suicide) but alive and still the boss. Sentenced to that criminal life with his dear ones suffering and falling away. End by having dinner by himself at Vesuvio's.

Tony has become a shambling wreck of a man in these final episodes. Ten years of hard living and near death would take a toll on anyone, but it's hard to see him so weakened. I always saw a shred of possible redemption in him, but now, in killing Christopher, he's beyond hope. It's disappointing, but it feels real. Do did Crissy's death. I would have liked something more dramatic, but life (and death) don't always go that way, even for those who deserve something worse. That's the genius of this show. I'm not expecting to be happy with the final ending. I don't expect anyone to go out or survive the way I think they should. Everything will not be neatly wrapped up and justice will not be neatly dispensed. Adrianna coming back would be the most ridiculous, soap opera ending that could be conceived. My take is that Tony killed Chris because it was a way of beating the odds one more time. If Chris survived and was found to have been coked-up -- off to jail he would have gone. This doesn't end well -- and clearly he's on a collision course with something horrific. Any person on here who thinks Ade is alive is sadly mistaken. This is not a stupid soap opera. As for Chris being off the show, the show is almost done. As for Tony killing Christopher, it made total sense. It was a shocker, yes...but it made sense. He was a liability. He couldn't control Ade from ratting out the family, he almost killed a captain's nephew, he killed a famous TV writer and he caused a lot of trouble. I think the baby's car seat was the needle. Sober or not, this guy was a train wreck and frankly, I was surprised, but not all that much. I am not a mobster, but I think Tony was extremely patient. Christopher was a liability to the family and Tony knew it. It also goes as deep as Tony picking up family habits. Lest we forget,Tony's own mother and Uncle plotted to kill him for much less. I have been watching this show from day one. It is not just a mob show, it was a twist on the perils of a disfunctional family (mob and real) and the true lesson here is that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree and that is a simple fact...the show is pure genius. May it rest in peace with Ade and Christopher. People...stop putting it in the category with Dallas and Dynasty or any other stupid soap opera. The only disappointment I ever had was that Dr. Melfi never revealed her rape to Tony.

Tony saw too much of his own fault's in Christopher, plus the fact that Christopher had become a real liability. There was a range of issues that figure into the equations--having to off Ade, Chris's increase drug use, his fighting with the other bosses, the way Tony was portraited in the movie, etc, etc. Plus I thing that I think everyone is overlooking is the fact that Christopher could have killed Tony in that crash and again it was the drug issue. In this case, he's questions his therapy, gets high on peyote, gambles what little fortune he has left, and sleeps with strippers, all the while his gang - his earners - gets smaller with less power, while Phil Leotardo - with an axe to grind - gets stronger. Carmela is increasingly worried about their future, and AJ is going down the same path as Tony - requiring therapy for depression, a thirst for violence, and the same problem with panic attacks. There are only three outcomes for Tony - he dies, he lives with some old issues settled, but new ones developing, or he goes into the witness protection program with a completely new life. The next three episodes will tell us which of the three outcomes comes about.

And while Tony was killing him, Chris looked up at him without showing any alarm, as if he was accepting it. The look in Tony's eyes was so malevolent - we've seen it before! The huge relief to Tony came slowly, throughout the rest of the episode. I thought the low-key nature of Chris' death was played perfectly.

Chris' Cleaver became reality and so did Tony's threat. There has been several other episodes that relate back to 1-1 for instance Tony's remark "not the makings of a varsity athlete" and the episode "Where's Johnny". I think you have to be an ace on your Sopranos trivia to figure this one out.

Tony can be a serious hypocrite, and never more than in this episode. Chris took drugs to escape as many people do when there seems to be no other way out. Not only did Tony physicaly escape by going to Vegas, but soon after found himself smoking pot, and doing peyote, why?, to escape. The very thing he sees in others as a weakness is his very own weakness. At the Roulette wheel when he got to Vegas, and episodes prior he just couldn't win, and then later when he is in his moment of clarity?, he states to the prostitute he was with that the roulette wheel represented the universe, and suddenly he was picking winners, 3 big hits in a row, and he bursts out with "he's dead!", and hits the floor laughing. The next scene is him and that same woman watching the sunrise, and he yells "I Did It!" Which could mean, he outlasted the Payote, or that he killed Christopher, or that suddenly he feels that he has made it, that his entire life had lead him to this point. The writing is so good in this series, that to take things that occur each night on the surface would be missing the whole show. Sil, very much could be a FBI informant, he does play a little too low key, doesnt talk much like he's got a wire on him all the time and doesn't want to say anything provoking, or leading that might also land him in jail some day. Paulie does talk too much, but he goes way back, he's old school and he is loyal to T and his late father, and he showed his loyalty back to him at the wake, and that kind of loyalty back to Paulie I think will pay off for T in the end. AJ is sliding back to "not everything is OK" mode, he is liable to do something stupid at any given moment. T almost told Carmella the real story about Ade at the breakfast table, but he held back (good move), tells his daughter she should have a scotch too, another hypocritacle comment T, way to go.

Revenge for Ade's death? Are we all so brainwashed by Hollywood endings we think there has to be revenge or payback or some sort of justice meted out? The reality is, lots of people get away with lots of things. The reality is, there isn't a proportionate amount of justice in the world. And, the reality is, in THAT world, Adrianna got what was coming to her. Christopher didn't turn her over to Tony out of loyalty to him. He turned her over because he knew there was no way he'd survive without the 'family' and the money he brought in through all his illegal dealings. He turned her over to Tony out of necessity. That's what Tony keeps banging his head into, season after season - the conflict between what he thinks about 'loyalty' versus the reality he is surrounded by, which is that there is no such thing in that life as loyalty. It's all about survival of the fittest. That world is a jungle and all inhabiting it are animals. Given what we know about Chris' unhappiness this season with Tony, given what happened last week, when he went to the writer's apartment and started babbling about all he knew and what he could do to those people, everyone watching knew that Christopher - now that he had a 'career' in the movies - was dying to break away and would do just about anything to make that happen. He didn't need Tony anymore and he didn't need the money. He had an alternative he didn't have when he was with Adriana. Tony saw Chris as a threat, a liability. Fueled by Carmela's interpretation of 'Cleaver', Tony's animal instincts kicked in. He smelled blood in the water. He had an opportunity to eliminate a threat and he took it, rightly so (right for that world). All that being said, I have a feeling there is going to be payback and I have a feeling it's going to be something to do with his son Anthony. There's going to be some tragedy with this kid, ala (forgive me for bringing up this horrible movie) Godfather 3. There's very little that is precious to Tony. Clearly, the man who's been complaining about the lack of loyalty amongst his family and his 'family' members, has shown he hasn't got any loyalty either (almost killing Paulie, killing Christopher, tormenting Hesh who was always good to him, never mind the constant sexual dalliances). The only people who matter to Tony are his wife and kids. If there's going to be any sort of 'justice' or 'payback' it's going to involve one of them being taken from him violently and right now, Anthony Jr. looks like the obvious choice. Bottom line - there isn't going to be a happy ending here.

Should it come as a surprise to anyone that Tony killed Christopher? There are two factors at work here: 1) Tony--and his cohorts for that matter, Christopher included--are complete and total sociopaths; you don't chose their line of work unless, at heart, you're completely devoid of compassion and downright evil; and 2) Christopher was so incredibly self-destructive and, in Tony's mind, weak, that by silencing him, Tony truly believed he was protecting his own self-interests (with Chris dead, he can't turn informant, can he?.) As for Tony's fate, I still think something will happen (A.J.'s death, perhaps?) that will be the final straw that pushes Tony over the edge. I don't think Tony will die; rather, I think he'll wind up being placed in a psychiatric hospital. He's teetering on the edge of insanity right now, it won't take much to push him over the line.

Adriana WILL bring Tony down but not because Chase resorts to a tired TV cliche (i.e. she-didn't-die-in- the-woods-so-let's-bring-her-back-in-the-final-episode-to-exact-her-revenge). Here's how I think it will play out: the Canadian police use blood evidence to link Bobby to the murder there. Janice harrangues Bobby into putting his family first and screwing his Mafia family (including her brother). So Bobby offers to turn state's evidence in exchange for the witness protection program. As part of his testimony he spells out the details of, among other things, Ade's murder. So in the final analysis, Adriana brings down Tony and his crew to their well deserved end. David Chase has brilliantly toyed with us for all these years. We saw all of Tony's ugly, brutal, ruthless, unconscionable actions. If that was all we saw, it would be easy to loathe him. But Chase didn't let us off so easily. He always forced us to confront Tony's humanity---T's depression, the rough-edged charm, his wildly dysfunctional (biological) family, surviving the bullet wound, the therapy with Dr. Melfi, etc. The fundamental cliffhanger from episode to episode is whether Tony's humanity will prevail and that, in the end, he would find some redemption, that he would truly become a "man of honor." But after watching him calmly dispatch Christopher (and JUSTIFY it to himself!), expressing annoyance at having to FEIGN grief, hopping into bed with Christopher's Las Vegas girlfriend and taking peyote (just like Christopher), I've now reached the conclusion that he is beyond redemption. He deserves to meet the same rotten fate as Adriana and all the others he has disposed of over the years. Tony cannot honestly face himself without excuses, mitigating circumstances or convoluted self-justifications. Maybe that's what Dr. Melfi will finally say to him in their last session when she drops the facade of clinical/professional detachment. Let him chew on that in a federal penitentiary.

I am facinated by the connections to the real-life mobsters mentioned. Could it be all this is just a knock off of real ife events? Disappointing if so.... I saw Chrissy' killing as an act of mercy. He was doing him a favor....but maybe that was how I wanted to see it.....I am sick of Carm...and AJ's story line is odd. I think we have just seen how the series will play out, from the second season on, Tony has been using Christopher to carry out his dirty deeds. If you trace the murders committed by the family (and not Tony specifically), Chris was the active messenger in those cases. Tony often bragged at how he would insulate himself from harm by going through intermediaries. Her is my crystal ball gazing - Jersey and New York go to war. Jersey holds it together, New York gets decimated in a blood bath, including Phil Leotardo. Having to act, the feds bust Tony and throw the book at him. Very quickly we see Tony go to court and his lawyer handily gets him acquitted by implicating the now dead Christopher as the active mobster. Tony emerges from the court room free (and protected by double jeopardy) to rule both families. Setting the stage for future movies which HBO and Chase have not ruled out. AJ will turn away from his father and the family sickened by what he has seen. Meadow will take an active role in the family. Sil and Paulie will still be senior Captains, Uncle Junior will be left babbling into his Jello, descending into deeper senility every day. Melfi will be the other loose end that Tony will have to tie up. She will die in an auto accident or a fire in her office that destroys all of her records...

"I GET IT!!!" What did Tony get? He realized that he has been too soft. Killing Christopher set him free. Chris was an albatross around Tony's neck and as soon as he was cut loose, his luck began to change -- as evidenced by his haul at the roulette table. He realized he's been letting too many loose ends hang over his head like so many dark clouds and he simply needs to face them and deal with them. Ruthlessly. No more Mr. Nice Guy. I look for Tony to get absolutely hard-core and begin to take down his problems in a very methodical fashion in the last three episodes. Bobby (and maybe even Janice) -- gone. Both a pain in the ass and Bobby beat him up. Not a good career move. Paulie -- gone. Paulie gets on Tony's nerves as much as he gets on mine. And Paulie drove Christpher to drink. Again. Phil (obviously) -- gone. He despises Phil and believes he has no business being Boss. AJ -- wouoldn't be out of the question. He's just like Christopher. Dr. Melfi -- gone (she knows too much). He has no affection for her and she's a serious liability. Sil is his only real friend and relabile confidante. The thought that he could end up being an FBI informant is very interesting, but his hands are awfully dirty.

Tony didn't kill Christopher. Christopher didn't have enough time to make it. The line was something to the extent of "injuries like that are survivable". But not out in the middle of nowhere. there is no way syl is an informant, t would be in jail already. There is no way syl would ever be boss, remember how he hated (and actually got sick from) the responsibility when tony was in his coma. carmella would never kill tony, too much guilt of her own, AND she truly loves him. Meadow and dad would never hurt each other, AJ on the other hand is a loose cannon that could shoot in any direction. I think that Pauly is at the end loyal to T, and having already been turned down as a nobody by NY, he wouldn't forget that insult. I can see Janice making a play for Bobby to be the boss, as she, Lyvia-like, runs things through him while pretending to know nothing. Otherwise, it has to end with a shootout with NY, a problem with the terrorists, or life in the family simply going on. anyone who thinks that ade is coming back, or that the russian will be involved doesn't watch the show closely enough. People die and they are gone, or run away and don't come back, but more importantly, the show has always been about family (or the family) and that is where it will end. As for T being unstable, I disagree. I think things are becoming clearer to him now than ever before, he is accepting himself for who and what he is, the goal of psychotherapy. The guilt of his life, the guilt of surviving is gone. He gets it! He realizes it is time to embrace his inner gangster and stop trying to be something else.

I don't see what's so shocking to people about Tony killing Christopher. Tony was trying to have a serious conversation with him as they were driving along, and Chris turned up the music instead. I think that moment just before the crash helped punctuate for Tony where Christophers priorities still lie - partying and his own good time, not learning the business. Then, high on coke, he gets them in a near fatal accident - I think Tony just decided at that moment that Chris had enough chances and was a total liability, and this was a near perfect opportunity to take care of the problem with minimal suspicion.

I think Carmella is already planning to leave Tony - she was looking at properties in Florida when she fell asleep in the last episode. She now has her own money to start another spec house. Ever notice how much of Tony's time was spent either trying to "fix" Christopher or clean up after him? Of course he's relieved that's over. And he didn't yell, "I did it." He yelled, "I get it (see the HBO website for verification)." It was merely a drug-induced epiphany; possibly that by not having to deal with Christopher and all his undependability and problems a lot of Tony's problems and worries were over. I wouldn't rule out Bobby killing Tony. Remember the look on his face while he was holding his daughter after Tony made him kill some other kid's father?

I was taken aback, but actually found this episode to be one that seriously lays the groundwork for the rest of the series. Tony knows that he cannot trust anyone anymore, least of all Chris. He warned him that if he caught him high on drugs again he would kill him. He did just that. Yes, Tony says "don't do that" and then does it himself. I guess that is a perk to being the boss. Chris had been showing some weakness in the last episodes (especially buddying up to the movie people.) Tony took the opportunity to remove a potential risk to himself. It was definitely cold, but peaceful. Many people would have liked to have seen Chris "bite it" in a way that horror films can only project. This was almost a mercy killing with the added bonus of taking out a very big risk. I look forward to seeing what (if anything) happens to AJ. You want to talk brutal...I could only imagine what is in for that kid.

A lot of folks forget that Sil and Carlo killed that fat bastard Dom from Phil's crew for busting balls about Vito, so FBI informant is pretty much out. Sil killed Ade. If otherwise this show will lose it's status as one of the best written shows for using a gimmicky/lazy writer stunt like that. After so many great shows I doubt that will happen. It looks like Tony is ready for whatever comes his way as long as it doesn't touch his family, therein lies his achilles heel. I am not sure what is coming (other than by reading the HBO episode syopsis)but that is the beauty of the show. You just don't know. The only thing I am certain of is that I have been on this ride for a long time and I ain't getting off until the end.

Remember the trip Tony and Carm made to the cabin with Bobby Bacala and Tonys sister.The fight that broke out between Tony and Bobby and Tony almost hand forced Bobby to prove his strength to the family. But I noticed in the Canadian laundromat scene where Bobby shot the man how sloppy the murder scene actually was. The slug that went in to the dryer, the strip of fabric that ripped from his shirt (DNA people), the gun left at the scene. I don't think there is any possibility that this will come back, but these guys are dropping clues to the viewers right and left, to what is coming. I love the show, and I especially Love Tony Soprano. I don't care what anyone thinks about him, he is the show and to make a good ending they for sure will end the sopranos with a very memorable ending. All the Sopranos fans will just want more!!! I agree with the comment from Ontario(thinking Tony was disgusted by Chris's own hypocrisy, telling everyone at the Bing he is a changed man, then goes out and shoots a man in cold blood). I, like everyone else was shocked that Tony would end Chris like he did, but I feel that Chris' abscence will raise alot of question. Will Tony tell Carmela what he did, doubt it. I can't predict what is going to happen in these last 3 episodes, but I guarentee I will be paying very close attention to all the characters and their actions, as you should do the same. I thought at the end Tony said "I did it", meaning that he had broken his jinx. He had such a run of bad luck at the casinos and all in the last couple of weeks, and now he won a ton of money at roulette after screwing Chris' old girlfriend, and the jinx is broken. I think it also meant that he is free of Christopher, even though I really was stunned to see Chris die, but not surprised that he died at Tony's hand. He told Dr. Melfi that the movie Chris made showed how much Chris hated him. I, too, thought that Paulie would really get whacked before Chris. I don't think Tony's luck is going to last. Even Dr. Melfi laid down the law to him. He won't whack her, no matter how much she knows. I'd love to believe that Adriana is still alive, hidden deep in witness protection, and the FBI will come in and take out Tony and all the others in the end, but I don't think that will happen. I'd love to see that bitch Janice get it -- and for Bobby to do it! She really IS her mother. If Tony goes down, I'd bet Paulie goes with him. I'm not so sure about Sil -- yeah, he's a killer (at least we think he is) and an all around bad guy, but I think that in the end he may be the last man standing. Ade is dead, Chris is dead. I can't believe anyone doesn't know those to be facts. Death is complicated, it is not black-and-white, and I think that some of what Tony realized in the desert had to do with that. It's as much of a blessing sometimes as it is a bad thing. What's significant is that Tony had been on a huge, huge losing streak and all of a sudden, he won and won and won. For him, losing Christopher was the beginning of a new winning streak. I think it's an incredibly real and sophisticated take on death and loss, and I am a widow so trust me, I get it. There is huge cost, things change in a major way, but as Tony says over and over, it's not necssarily the end of the world. In fact, it is the beginning of a new world for survivors. What stuck out most in the episode for me was a slot machine that said "Pompeii." I really seized on it. I know we're all overthinking and looking for too many clues, but I believe there will be some downfall, not a contrived, weird one like AJ stepping up (haven't we all seen how COMPLICATED the business is? You don't just jump in) or killing himself, or Ade showing up like Bobby Ewing, or Sil or Paulie being anything but loyal old-school soldiers. I think the ending will have something to do with Pompeii. I don't know what. It has something to do with, as someone above said, Tony fiddling while Rome burns, the fact that this empire is soon to end. Some volcano will blow. I don't know what. I wish I knew what the revelation in the desert was! The flash of light -- what was it???!?!?!?!?!?!?! tell us, Tone!!!!!!! If it had been me, the flash would have been the knowledge that someone's death is the end of one thing and the beginning of another, world without end. For real, Ade is dead. Dead, dead, dead.

I think Tony made a judgement, in the moment, and as boss of the family, to kill Christopher since the accident provided him with the chance to do it. He knew Chris wasn't going to change and Chris really was distancing himself from Tony and the family. I think Carmella has a lot of nerve crying so loudly over Chris's death considering it was SHE who planted the seed in Tony's ear about how he was portrayed so bad in Cleaver and made that grow in his mind. Carmella was sitting in bed, as usual, reading her investments magazine, thinking of money, money, money. She needs to pay big time for her sins, too, and her fall will please me more then anyone else's. Chris's death really has freed Tony and he had NO guilt over it and that's why the funeral and mourners just got on his nerve. Chris is SO yesterday to him. I don't believe for a moment that AJ has what it takes to suddenly become a crime boss. From what we've heard ALL the characters on the show were evil from the time they were knee high in the grass. AJ has always been too emotional to be bad. He gets a thrill once in awhile, but is ultimately revulsed by torure and people being mean. What kind of boss would he make if every time he had a fight with his wife or girlfriend he went off on a crying jag? I will never believe it for a minute if he suddenly become Tony Jr. Only 3 episodes left and I don't believe Paulie and Silva will die, only one maybe. Tony will live, Carmella will find out about Ade but can't leave Tony, been there done that. No way Meadow will be a mob boss, women still are not bosses, this ain't Italy. Bobby and Tony will take on the Tony / Junior boss roles, with Bobby handling the day to day operations. Tony will move to Vegas and advise Bobby from there.

Christopher had become a serious liability, a serial screw-up, a substance abuser, a problem-causer, and an abuser of Tony's trust and sort-of love. Tony talked to Dr. "Legs" Melfi about "the biggest blunder of my career"--he was referring to "making" Christopher a fellow member of the Soprano crime family. Now Christopher's drug weakness had almost gotten Tony killed in a stupid auto wreck, and then Christopher gasps that TONY has to move him to passenger seat and take the fall for the accident because "I'll never pass a drug test." That was just the last straw for Tony, the crowning insult--and the baby-seat thing on top of that. At this point Christopher had just become another version of other problem-children and screw-ups like Ralphie Cifaretto or Tony Blundetto, only even worse and more chronic. And Tony took the opportunity to execute him. I wasn't surprised at all. And for the record I'm convinced Adriana is dead--why would Silvio Dante have put on some kind of fake furious-killer act in the woods with her, for no audience? I agree with those who say Ade coming back would be too daytime soap opera. She's gone. Sil ain't an informant, he's too loyal. Tony offing Chris wasn't a surprise, didn't he give Chris a pass previously because of drugs? He got a pass because he was Tony's nephew and was sent to the treatment center in PA. Also while he did seem to be heading down Thug road, the Somalian Cyclist incident seemed to have turned him around. Suicide looks like his next move.

Man, I love how paranoid we've been feelings these last few episodes. It's obvious that Chase keeps running us through the list of possible downfalls for Tony. But the truth is, everything that has happened this year and last is leading Tony to the downfall. It's not those around him -- it's him. One point on Chris. I thought that Tony calling Chris to get the number of the "terror" suspects was a mistake. Talking to the FBI is talking to the FBI. It's a no-no and it's possible that, coupled with everything with Chris, Tony just needed Chris to go away. Doubt that was the primary cause but it all adds up. Regarding who brings Tony down, I think really only four people are possible and two are unlikely. Carmella, Melfi, Pauli, and Sil. No other character is central enough and strong enough to do it. Pauli and Sil have always been in the story but are more window dressing that central players. Chase could bring our current political climate into play and have the gov't force Melfi to testify but what really does she know. So I think that leaves Carmella. And I have absolutely know idea how that would play out. Guess I'll just sit back and enjoy the ride

I'm thinking Ade is not dead. Unlike most other killings in the show, hers was not graphic, and poses an uncertainty. Also, Silvio always seems to appear squeeky clean, and never has animosity, accept for the other soldiers from time to time. In a way, silvio seems almost as an incarnate affectation. He wears mob suits, has mob hair, drives a mob car, and even knows all the quotes to godfather by heart. But what's under it all? This show is about distrust, and trusting the untrustable. We all trust silvio, right? So it's the logical shocker ending that adrianna, finding out about the death of chris-tah-fah, murders tony. Or how about, the phil leotardo thing comes to a head, bobby gets killed, Tony sits at home and worries, finds out that ade isn't dead, suspects silvio for sparing her, comes to terms with the fact that he can't trust paulie, knows that his son's as much of a black hoel as he is, that his daughter will never love or respect him the way that he likes, and he'll never get in melfi's pants. Carmella?... who cares? Finally putting it together that he can't trust anyone, he eats one too many plates of gabaghoul and has a coronary. Meadow then goes on to write a book that turns instantly into a best seller, called "Mafia Princess", making, once again, a nice profitfrom a less than perfect situation for the soprano girls.

I think Tony DID THE RIGHT THING! Prior to the crash he inherently knew that Chris was "not normal". Combining his knowledge of C's past with current behavior I think happened only moments before the crash sequence began. Then, upon seeing the tree's damage to the car seat, quickly realized the potential for Chris to ruin more than just his own life! I believe it was a "put him out of his misery [of life's struggles]" decision that was cemented by the fear for Chris' baby's future- an unusually rare instance of seeing Tony's humanity come out, but actions I expected even, considering the ease with which he seems to have in killing others. I think Chris' fate was a fitting, realistic outcome (basically, a drug-related death)no matter how the final breath taken had come to pass.

Ever since the beginning of this "season" it's been evident that Tony is lookin at his life and what will become of it in a whole other way....Thinking about taking out Paulie while the two went deep sea fishing a few episodes ago should have been an indication that "T" is looking out for number one. She is exactly what she is. She's not bringing anyone down, and besides, she knows nada. Adrianna is dead! Dead! Dead! Dead! Dead! Think about it: If she HAD crawled on her hands and knees away from Sil, you think she'd be stupid enough to do something that would put her right back in front of a loaded gun to die in agony? Nope. But that's not even worth mentioning, because she is so very, very dead. A prequel with Mr. Magoo would be so great to watch.

"I get it!" Tony had an epiphany. Throughout the series Tony has been in an internal conflict within himself. The Dr. Melfi relationship is the whole crux and premise of the show. Tony's therapy is his attempt to find himself: self realization. He has been in conflict with trying to be a "good" person within the inherently corrupt/evil occupation he is in. We've seen him try to be a good benevolent type person. After surviving being shot last season, he tried to live in such a way that would be benevolent and with gratitude. Of course, that has been an impossibility because of the nature of his life and profession. His life and actions are malevolent and evil. He actually knows this deep down: Tony once brought up the classic analogy of the scorpion hitching a ride on a frog to cross a river but ends up stinging the frog anyway to both their deaths. Why? Because that's what scorpions do. Tony knows he is the scorpion. But, he has resisted that. He has resisted embracing who he really is throughout the entire series. The duality of his life of trying to live a normal everyday life within society with wife and kids versus a sociopathic criminal life has torn at him. So, upon his peyote induced adventure in the casino, he paused momentarily to gaze up at a lit face of a red devil with a ring of lights encircling it. This is a symbol or sign to Tony that the devil is him, and the moving lights that encircled the devil face was a symbol to Tony that he is the devil--embrace it. The winning at the roulette table was a confirmation that letting go of Chris and thus letting go of the effort to be a good person has liberated him. He entered into a state of flow. He found his groove. When you get into the groove or state of flow, things become effortless. Winning became effortless. The epiphany in the canyon was a self realization moment: he is the devil. He is evil and all his efforts not to be evil have gone against the very fabric of his being. Now that he embraces who he really is, he "got" it. No more gray areas or doubt for Tony. No more nicey nice. No more internal conflict. The Dr. Melfi relationship will come to a close because he has "cured" himself. I think we will see in these last episodes a monster that has fully accepted himself as a monster and he will be in his element now. Match Tony's self realization with Phil's own epiphany of his disgraced family history and determination to never again allow anything to sully himself or his family ever again; sounds like the perfect setup for a storm of blood bath and carnage. Self realized evil meets rage, fury, and vengence. Cool.

Adriana has to be dead. It's pretty easy to buy the idea that her killing wasn't shown graphically as a bit of cinematographic license; as others have said, however, why would Sil go through the whole charade, with no audience, if he was actually a Fed? That's just too hard to explain away. Plus, I really don't think the Feds will come out on top at the end of this series. Here's my take on the ending: When Tony said "I get it!" he was referring to the card on the wall in the hospital: "Sometimes I go about in pity for myself, and all the while, a great wind carries me across the sky." He realizes that despite all the despicable things he's done in his lifetime, he can be redeemed and more important, is worthy of redemption. He completely turns his life around - he gives up the business, and he and Carmella move to Florida or Pompeii. But wait - after learning that T continued to dump asbestos in the river, Phil puts out a green light on Tony and the whole crew. Lots of blood is spilled, but Tony and Carmella barely get out safely. Then, Tony is killed by a two-bit street thug during a wrong-place-at-the-wrong-time crime, while trying to protect someone else. The end. Too bad the series is ending.

Chris's killing comes "out of the blue"? He flipped the car with Tony in it while driving high as a kite, has the b___ls to ask Tony to hide his dope works, all after Tony has threatened him more than once that the next time he was caught doping would be his last? With the Feds breathing down his neck waiting for any weakness to show up in his organization? If he DIDN'T kill him, his crew would soon figure out Chris was using again, and they would wonder why he wasn't dead yet. The sight of the infant seat crushed in the back made a simple symbol of the future for Tony, and he acted on that symbol. This was a pure Soprano moment, made even truer by the constant rationalization and pretense Tony put forth through the rest of the episode. It's hard not to like Tony; it was hard not to like Chris. But seeing that scumsucking low-life killer with his pretentions to cinema fame get put down like a run-over dog by his ersatz father seemed to me to be worth my HBO fee for the month. Good riddance, Moltosanti - with luck, the rest of your goombahs will join you soon, in an equally entertaining fashion. I'm hoping when Paulie gets it, they show his ghost looking at his corpse, then looking up to see that the seer spoke true, and that every person he ever killed is waiting for him to cross over.

I think the interesting story brewing is AJ in therapy (nice parallel to dad) and suffering a crisis of conscience. I'd love to see that he goes the opposite route of Tony and decides to "go clean". He either blabs to his therapist, or to someone else, about his guttersnipe mob friends. As they are investigated, somehow a link to Tony is discovered, and ultimately Tony is brought down by his own (real) son. It would be poetic (Tony is worried all along about Christopher but fails to see that his own son would lead to his downfall...) and very Oedipal. It allows the story to end, since AJ won't be "taking over" (lame sequel potential) and Tony will be out of commission.

I think there are 2 real possible ends from Chase & Co. Remember: There will be a reunion film or special. No Doubt. 1 - Picture AJ is getting back on track, going to school and rejecting violence and all that. The shrink is helping HIM. BUT...Tony's world starts to crash & burn, people are getting whacked with mob in-fighting and betrayals inside both major families. It comes down to almost no one being left. HE has no one to trust...and he is gonna need just 1 more major thing to protect themselves...and just when AJ thinks he is gonna get out...his Dad of all people will pull him back in. LOL. OK, but it will kill Tony inside b/c he did not want that to be done to his son that was done to him. *** OR, 2 - Tony's dreams and comas and that about being "lost", with a different identity, high on peyote, or going far away from it all are actually his callings to ditch the life and get away...but WE ALL know there are only 2 ways out...DEAD or a NEW IDENTITY. Witness protection. OMG. And he's laid the groundwork with the Terrorist tips b/c he knows he may need a favor- witness protection instead of hard time. (Chris, his only real connection to the terrorists is gone now..)He's already sort of done it going to Vegas trying to "get away" from it again. That's his way of NOT facing the other side of himself who has to do what he has to do (kill Chrissy, think about killing Paulie, cheat on Carm--well he seems to care more now than before he was shot) as long as he's still "in the life". And, the Christopher killing is a warm-up...because the only way he will ever get AJ in the mob for-real is to kill Carmela. STUNNING. Oh, yeah. Believe it. David Chase should pay me, I'll work for cheap. And no, I don't do peyote.

Chase has borrowed liberally from actual NJ Mafia history as well as the Godfather I & II movies. Tony killing the father of his godchild -- think of Michael Correleone having Rizzi killed for selling Sonny out to Barzini. Phil L is becoming a problem, and is being portrayed as a bad boss, as in bad for business. He will eventually have to go, but before he does, the body count will rise. AJ is the sleeper. He is confused now, but something will snap things into focus for him quickly. Let's go back to the Godfather plot line -- when Vito Correleone is nearly killed, who avenges the attack and takes out Solozzo - the civilian, Michael Correleone. My take -- Leotardo tries to take out Tony, but only manages to wound him severely. AJ and his crew (which do respect him for his connection) take out Leotardo. The other New York families do nothing becasue Phil was becoming a problem for them. Series ends with AJ making his bones and earning the respect of the Soprano captains, but with the overhanging question of who will assume the eventual leadership of the family. The possibility of a sequel is preserved.

A.J. is going to be the pivotal character now. He's right on the verge of aCcolumbine type episode but what I really expect is for him to kill not not Tony but Carmella. Being referred to one too many times as a mama's boy will finally make him snap and would also reflect all the problems Tony had with his own mother. If Tony dies, it will either be by his own hand (not likely) or one of his crew will take him out because of the carnage they feel he's responsible for, especially if they lose a family member because of it.The advance on the next episode says a case of mistaken identity causes big troubles, I am thinking Silvio's daughter killed mistaken for Meadow.Silvio to me is the most dangerous of all Tony's crew because he tends to think things out before acting but in this case it would be an out of control Sil and that would be bad for anyone in his general vicinity and would horribly weaken Tony to not have his most dependable crew member thinking clearly. It also opens up the possibility of Sil himself killing Tony. Bobby and his botched murder of that kid simply have to come into play, that was a totally sloppy job and it's likely the feds will eventually get some info from him or Janice to implicate Tony in some sort of crime. And this is just a hunch, but I think Paulie will die, but in some semi heroic way, perhaps sacrificing himself to save another, He seems so much more introspective lately and just seems ready to do something totally out of character.

Been thinking some more about how it all will end. I don't see Tony ever going into the Witness Protection Program and can't imagine Carmella downsizing her lifestyle. I think the red herring storyline about the possible Middle Eastern terrorists hanging out at the Bing that Tony gave Agent Harris info on will play out like this: AJ has been showing an interest in the wrongs done to Muslims and he might get caught by Agent Harris in a sting at a Mosque. Harris tells Tony that AJ will be tried as a traitor, but Tony uses his "get out of jail free card" and agrees to testify against the mob. Tony knows he won't survive prison or even living in Witness Protection, so, he goes after Phil with the sole intention of being killed in the mob war. The last scene of the episode will show Sil showing up at Tony's house handing Carm a big envelope of money and telling her "Tony made sure you'd be taken care of." Carm and Medow are left standing, living off the blood money as usual.

Bingo, Sean from Texas!! I think it's pretty clear that AJ will be the sacrifice. Tony has been living an existential nightmare for quite a while, and losing his "real son" after murdering his nephew/"adopted" son would be just desserts. This last episode was full of foreshadowing that AJ is doomed. His story is starting to remind me of the similarly-doomed Nate Fisher on Six Feet Under. Don't forget also that whole "dream" bit when Tony was in the coma after being shot, where he was stranded in the hotel with no money and unable to go home. That too is foreshadowing. I think Phil will have AJ whacked, that's the straw that makes Carmela decide she's had enough, and at the end there is Tony, watching the ducks return -- and the karmic circle is complete. Let's see if I'm right.

After reading some of the comments dating back to Christopher's murder, I must say I had no idea so many people watch this show so intently. It touches us in some way, proving Americans are fascinated with larger-than life families and their dramas. I agree with some of the points made here, feeling the show hasn't been as good since Adrianna's murder. I know I've never liked Tony as much since he had her killed for no good reason. She couldn't have directly put him in jail. She never had that kind of information. I always thought Tony was afraid she could get Chris to roll over on him. Maybe he should have killed Chris and let her live. Looking back, I also thought - apparently incorrectly - the ultimate resolution of the series would have something to do with her death. Now I don't know what to think except that maybe someone was right who sent the whole series is just a thinly veiled retelling of an actual Jersey mob family and will end with Tony seeking FBI protection for he and his family in exchange for telling the FBI everything he knows on the New York family.

No one is going to comeback cause the Soprano's is great Television- thats why we love it. Tony killing Chris was obvious. Chris slasher movie had a charicatuer of Tony who was killed by a Chris like character. Everyone in the Sopranos world who saw that movie saw Tony on the screen. Tony was in Dr.Melfis office crying because it hurt him that Chris deep down hated him. Chris was weak at the moment of the crash, Tony saw kill or be killed and Tony took an opportunity. It makes sense. I thought that the whole soprano family would be killed before last sunday but who knows.

If all goes as planned, tomorrow's episode will have been prefigured by what we've learned thus far:

Earlier this season, Tony heard a car coming up his driveway and was prepared to shoot the driver until he saw it was AJ. And AJ, loathes himself, is distressed by the violence in his life has already tried to kill one mobster, Uncle Junior. Expect a violent showdown between AJ and Tony. It really does not matter who survives, since AJ is the embodiment of Tony as he was when his father was alive.

Meadow: She's had too many good chances to leave the Garden State. She will be planted there, just before the scene with Tony and AJ.

How?

Carmella will learn the truth about Adriana. She leaves Tony.

Either she or Meadow or both get killed because she takes Tony's car whhen she finds it blocking hers in the driveway.

Janice: She will run the mob. She's already a "made man" having killed Richie Abrille.

Walnuts? He'll work for Janice.

Phil: My bet is he lives.

FBI subplot. Tony's been paying for this insurance policy all season. He takes it. How do I know. Episode 1: Tony kills another guy who's hiding out in Waterville, Maine in the witness protection program.

When Tony remembers that, he leaves the FBI men scratching their heads until they are blown up by the terrorists Tony fingered earlier this season.

Melfi: Tony confronts her, sleeps with her and kills her. Kupperman has been passing Melfi's stories along to one of his patients, little Carmine.

Now, the FBI's got a guy on the inside of Phil's org. Who? Little Carmine.

Silvio: Loyal to Tony. No way! He knew the hit was coming because he's Phil's inside guy. Why did Silvio kill Burt? Because Burt had thought about approaching Phil, which would have revealed the mole. Silvio buys it.

Yeah, I seem to remember Tony being a little worried about the "Cleaver" similarity, and perhaps that was why he blocked Christopher's airway. And the fact that Chris was high, ONCE AGAIN, putting them all at MORE risk with the accident; I think Tony just kinda snapped. I don't think he 'hated' Christopher, he was 'just business', like Ade. It seems like those guys sometimes have to kill those they love (Big Pussy, etc.) to 'protect' themselves. Too bad, so sad. That's why I would never want to be in that kind of life. As for the last show, I was riveted on two things: Phil's heads demise and the last scene. I thought my cable went out when it went to black suddenly, then credits rolled later (you should have heard me cussing out my cable company in my living room LOL!!!) Makes you wonder, what was about to happen? Was the guy gonna kill Tony after coming out of the bathroom, etc. etc. etc. Good final episode for sure.
