Mike looks skinny, not as muscular as could be for a blue-collar guy. Except for Gaby's gay pal, the show seems to be losing its gay subtext. How about a boyfriend for Andrew?

What Edie's actions tell us is that we didn't know her at all. Oftentimes, people who act like they don't care about anything are the ones who care most deeply. We saw peeks of that here and there (e.g. her desire to be included in the poker games despite seemingly disliking the other women), but nothing that indicated just how truly - yes, desperate - Edie really was. Clearly, there's a lot more backstory we're missing.

okay i don't even understand the last comment as bree's daughter was not the one who they showed hanging themselves, but Edie. I think Edie could be dead. After thinking about it, where would her character go next? She's already had Karl, Mike, now Carlos, her son made an appearance, her nephew brought forth conflict in two other households - her death would be an excuse to bring Austin back for a funeral. And I think that the opening with her mother was a strong foreshadowing. DH had to shake it up and kill off a more 'lead' character sooner or later...my question is, where did Zach & Paul Young disappear to? Gaby didn't want Zach and now he's just, gone? And is Felicia ever going to come back? I did enjoy the finale, though. They're getting back to their roots - it will be interesting next season with all the housewives (except Susan) hiding secrets from each other.

My thoughts on next season: Gaby will be pregnant, but with Carlos's baby. When it is born, it will reignite Gaby and Carlos because he will know it is his. Bree's daughter will run away from the "home for unwed mothers" and create havoc next year. Bree will find herself pregnant in real life and her due date will be too close to the birth of her grandchild so it will throw a wrench into her plan. Next year, Mike and Susan will be the "normal" family like Tom and Lynette used to be. With just a few bumps along the way. We will learn more about Lynette through her mom and their relationship. We will walk through her treatment with her. (I hope they do it realistically) We will watch her have to give up stop being so controlling. We will see Tom step up and be the man he has always secretly wanted to be, but gave up to have Lynette in his life. Edie (poor, poor Edie) will take the place of Mary Alice as the voiceover and will show up in flashbacks. It will make the other "Housewives" realize how they mistreated Edie. (Even thought she slept with almost everyone's husband.)Edie will be made to look much better in death than she was in life. (Isn't that the way it always is?)

Finnally someone who remembered that Victor has some seeding friends on his payroll. He and his father are definately involved with "mob-ish" people. It won't be that easy for Gabby to get out from under his control. I think she has met her match there. I loved the whole finale. It was fast paced, did not feel forced, Bree coming back was a nice surprise (I don't watch "previews" anymore as I want to be surprised) as was her flowing hair (don't loosen her up too much), Gabrielle's wedding actually going through and then overhearing Victor's conversation with his father was priceless (and did she look gorgeous in her wedding gown or what). The show really went back to its dark comedy/drama roots by casting Polly Bergin as Lynnette's vile mom. Every line out of her mouth topped Orson's mom's in every respect. And the last scene was classic "DW" as it was shocking (but not totally out of left field), left you wanting to know more, and reminded the viewer that this show excels when it tries to be more than a night time serial. I had come to accept that the show could not reach its apex again, but boy was I wrong. Bring on season 4.

I think that Edie will not be coming back next season. But it was nice to see Susan and Mike happy,and what a breath of fresh air to see Bree. let me chime in. i think Edie's character is gone. i think that they have done about all they can do w/this character (esp this season). i think it makes a lot of sense to get rid of her but the only question is that if Edie leaves, who will be there to give susan hell? her life is practically perfect now.... in terms of Gabby and Carlos getting back together, this is definitely going to happen. we have already seen the foreshadowing.. his jealousy of her post marriage relationships, her jealousy of Edie, and finally the make out session at her own wedding! they are meant to be together. bree's plotline is so predictable. but it still remains to be discovered that Orson is the reason Mike was hospitalized... Lynette is magnificent at playing this cancer patient role. although we all hate to see this happen to a character like that, she will play this role better than anyone on the show ever could because she is such a strong actor. i am excited to see how this plotline adds to the "dramedy" effect that the show eludes.

Ok people, lets keep it real - Danielle had already exposed her own reputation as being a little 'easy' - so whose to say that the only possible baby daddy is Austin - I think people are just offering up the interracial thing because that would make the plot thicken as far as how Bree would get herself out of that little lie. And as for Edie, I would highly doubt that the writers would write her off at this stage - there is still a whole lot to be done with her character... we will just have to wait and see!

I think Edie is dead. She has always been a peripheral character in the show and something had to catalyst the reunion between Carlos and Gaby. It's apparent that Carlos really didn't have feelings for Edie even though she clearly had feeling for him. Gaby overhearing Victor after the wedding doesn't really make me feel sorry for her. We could all see he was a jerk...the rebuking her in public and private, the comment about being a stupid woman. Obviously, Gaby was enthralled with the glamour of being married to the Mayor rather than following her heart and common sense. The most heartwrenching moment, though, was Lynette's confrontation with her mother and the still-fresh wound of her emotional involvement with Rick. Tom is a whiny pansy and his need to 'prove' himself the past three seasons has pushed Lynette into the arms of someone who just accepted her and himself the way they were...and of course, Tom will continue to whine about the Rick thing and resent Lynette. I think there will be some big issues there...especially with Kayla getting more and more manipulative!

I think that little paperboy came back and staged her suicide, he killed her off because she didn't pay him for the paper. We'll start off the season with a Funeral (Like the Second season) and Carlos feeling guilty and running to the arms of Gaby who is plotting sweet revenge on Lang. Victor cares alot about his image and he will do whatever it takes to protect that I think. Mike and Susan are adorable. Bree's plan will backfire. The child might be the Applewhite's. danielles baby isnt interracial.. even though she slept with the teacher and the applewhite boy.. because in our tv time might be a few weeks, desperate housewifes time is a few months... if it was one of their babies she would have been pregnant before austin came.. even though it might have been a 2 or 3 episode difference.. in their time its a few months... because it was months inbetween that she slept with those men..it is austins baby... but something might happen that the truth will come out that its not brees baby, such as the baby being sick, or austin needs blood and the baby can save it somehow.. and danielle might have been a little bigger than brees pad, but brees husband said its time to get the bigger pad... bree was gone for 5 months desperate housewives time.. even though it was 3 weeks our time.. its austins n no one elses.. gaby is a stong smart woman, and when crossed she gets revenge.. and she will get revenge on victor and his dad for wanting her to be the latino vote.. possibly having a hidden mic on while they are somewhere and the audience hears how he confesses that he used her for the vote?? and leave him and he will have no future in politics anymore.. i dont know but for sure her and carlos will be happily ever after again.. edie not sure, i hope she is saved or something. she was funny.. she was a stong independent woman that wanted to be loved and accepted, but carlos affected her, and her mother in the beginning kind have told that something would happen to her.. she might be dead, but i hope not, she was fun on the show.. susan finally has a normal life... Danielle and Eddie r 2 of a kind, slutty with no regaurd for who they hurt, a much needed charachter on Wysteria Lane,, but I dont know if there is room for 2 of the same charachter. I dont like where Lynettes charahcter is going.. Lynette and her husband are a great foundation on Wysteria Lane, they r the most realistic charachters. I'd hate to see them breake up, I think the cancer treatments might test the strength of the marriage, no other man needed to do that, the cancer is enough of a battle..

Perfect ending to DHW! I couldn't have written it better! My predictions for next season- I believe that Carlos will save Edie, and she will be preggers, and so will Gabby (maybe she paid 1st Dr. off since she didn't want a baby), Bree's daughter will comeback with a vengence, Lynette will have the affair since she thinks she's going to die, and Susan and Mike will only live happily ever after for 2 shows.

Nicolette will be marrying her long-time love (John Bolton), so it is likely that she'd prefer a less demanding schedule. Actors love what they do, but she had a long hiatus in her career before. Thus, by deduction, I think Edie's dead but not gone...maybe flashbacks, or I think the show would be great to have Edie's voiceover from time to time and add a new perseptive to the goings on and as counterpoint to Mary Alice. Another plus for keeping Edie "present" on the show (but really dead) is that there could be some secrets or plot-seeds that could still cause trouble. About Susan and Mike--let's have some HAPPINESS for them and for US. Happy and successful couples can be entertaining and fun, too! As an added bonus: TV could use some positive role models. Mike is gorgeous and a good actor--give him lots of work and no more tragedies.

This show has no problem killing people off. Eddie has never been one of the main characters so she will die. As far as Danielle having an interracial baby? She would have been showing big time at the begining of the season since there was a big gap between season 2 and 3. We don't really know that Mike and Susan got married, we only saw the begining of the wedding. I am sure Susan's dress caught on fire from a candle or the canopy fell on them and they never finished the vows. As a man I miss the murder plot from the first season. This is why I started watching. Now I watch to see Gaby's body as they keep having her show it off. I will keep watching but I don't know how long I can stand Lynette. She grates my nerves every week. They could kill her off and I would not complain.

I'll bet Edie's nephew shows up to expose Bree's baby plot and in just "Nic" of time, saves Aunt Edie (who is pregnant w/Carlos' baby afterall). You heard it here first.

For those questioning an interracial baby for Danielle, have you forgotten it was Edie's nephew, cute, blond, Caucasion Austin who is the father? With Edie's snippiness, she would be a terrific narrator for next season, if she did manage to kill herself. Mike & Susan are definitely not quite as strong as they were, but I think that will be good story next season as they work towards what they had. With this storyline, Huffman should clean up during awards season. But I would love to see Rick show back up. Tom is being a huge (insert profanity) to Lynette. She needs support, not guilt.

Lynette will soften to mom & be thankful. Susan will be happy for once, but will still give Mike the work out in their relationship. Bree will have that baby, but her daughter will still put her thru hell. And for the men, they will be the foreground and background as usual. I love what the writers are doing. I hear that people are upset of the puts downs of women, but I think it's halarious. Very soap opera and comedy in one. As far as Susan and Mike go, I think they will have the so called "honeymoon period" and then shortly after that some kind of drama will unfold, probably regarding Ian. Gabby and Victor, that's a tough one. I can picture either one of them black mailing the other. It's been pretty obvious that Gabby still has feelings for Carlos, yet she has great status as far as being the wife of the mayor. And as far as Gabby getting pregnant, I think it could happen even though the Dr.'s said she couldn't. Crazier things have happened right? Bree and Orson... Well Bree could sell ice to an eskimo, so I'm sure she will pull out all the stops in order to keep the truth from surfacing. It's a toss up though as to who the father of the baby really is. I am pretty sure the baby will be of another nationality. There's really no way that this whole pregnancy ordeal could go off without a hitch. Lynette and Tom are the couple who can defeat all the odds. They prove that love conquers all. I do agree though, Tom's daughter must have a few tricks up her sleeve. After all she is her mother's daughter. Lynette will beat cancer after all is said and done, and her and Tom will be that much stronger. And as far as Edie, that one I think is pretty tough also, because the last couple of she played big parts in all the episodes this season, yet she has worn out her welcome seeing she has just about dated everyone's ex-husband/boyfriend. Just my thoughts. I've been trying to piece everything together since 10:00 Sunday nite, I'm not sure if I can wait until September!

This cliffhanger was the first episode I remember seeing Edie's mother. That turned out to be Edie's dream where her mother is telling her she will be just like her. I think the suicide is Edie remembering her own mother's suicide or Edie dreaming of commiting suicide. It was too obvious to be Edie unless she is truly leaving the show. I think she wrote a note to Carlos, but just ran off for awhile. The other possibility of it being Bree's daughter as suggested prviously is good.

Some people must not have watched the show carefully and know about the events of last season and this season. 1.) It is indeed Edie that hanged herself. You see the note she left for Carlos and her scarf she was wearing at the end go flying in the air. You see Edie standing on a chair with the rope. You saw the beginning of the show where Edie had the dream of her mother telling her she would die alone like she did. Edie didn't want that, and having been freshly dumped by Carlos, didn't see any way out. Although I wonder why she didn't consider the emotional impact it would have on her young son. However, it is indeed possible that Carlos may find her in time and save her, with her spending most of the fourth season in the hospital and then a psych ward. 2.) I think Danielle's baby will turn out to be the kid of the black guy she was seeing in season 2 (son of the Applewhite woman). Remember in season two where they had that little tryst? It would be a total twist and seeing Bree and Orson try to explain that one away ("How the heck did Bree have an African-American child?") would make for several episodes of good fun. 3.) Gaby becoming a ghost? A better storyline would be her carrying on an affair with her ex-husband Carlos. Then she and Carlos get caught literally with their pants down in the middle of Victor's gubenatorial campaign. Victor would have to face questions about Gaby's infidelity, then her past infidelity with the lawn boy would surface, and ole Vic can say bye-bye to the Governor's mansion.

The first episode CLEARLY uses the "6 month" phrase refering to how long its been. At the end of the finale Orson tells Bree it's almost time for the 6 month baby belly- so there is no way considering Bree & orson have been gone all season. Second, Edie hung herself, whether we know if she will live or die- we dont- or whether its a dream- that we'll have to wait and see.. but bottom line is that its Edie! I think it will be assumed to be Austins but in the end, it wont be. If Edie is dead I think it would be great if she were a narrator for the show (maybe Mary Alice one show Edie the next?) the applewhite boy was on last season... in desperate housewifes time that was over a year ago.. bree was gone for a few weeks but in desperate housewives time that is 5 months... danielle was 5-6 months pregant... not 1 1/2 years pregant... dont forget one week for us usually is 1 day 1 week 1 month or 5 months time on the show!! they dont run on our time!!! in their time applewhite boy and affair with the teacher was all over a year ago... and at the time she only slept with austin. tv drama dont make sense in reality time

I think Edie is fine...I think it was Lynette's mother who hung herself. In her last scene she was snooping on Lynette and Tom....and I think she was wearing a white night gown..just like the one the person hanging had dangling around her ankles. Also, those dangling feet looked like they belonged to someone a lot older than edie

ohh my god..i love desperate housewives its amazing.i really hope edies not dead but there was earlier rumours that a main character was going to be killed off so i'm thinking she is most defnitly dead. i cant wait for series 4!i've done so many quizzes on "DH" and got 100% on all of them! i'm a HUGE fan and never miss an episode, i record them and watch them over and over again until they come out on DVD! i hope the next series starts soon i cannot live without desperate housewives every wednesday! by the way, of course it was edie who hung herself, the scarf, the lovenote aww:(..the feet everything shes just gotta be dead but fingers crossed shes alive:D

It was Edie that hung herself, that was obvious. No applewhite baby either. I think Edie is gone now, no rescue. It will bring back Edie's nephew and he will pick up with Susan's daughter again, and this time he will not leave because the drama through next season of the new baby that Bree will try to pass off as her own. Gabbi will try her best to get back at Victor, and she will have us laughing but if nobody noticed that Victor has anger issues, and had that meter maid beaten up... now that's a story line. I'm thinking Mob maybe. He's dirty, and can bring in some color to the show (police). DH is white and latin, DH needs black too.

Please Spare Edie ABC on DH she is a good comic refief and we need her to stay on DH. She brings a good mix to the show and I have been a view for DH. for the past 3 seasons and I really like the character and I think you could develope more stories behind the character of Edie she is very refreshing and she is very enjoyable to watch every sunday night.

OK I pay attention to the show and the people that are writing saying it's impossible for Danielle's baby to be interracial..HA! ANYTHING is possible on Desperate Housewives. All they have to do is show a scene where Danielle slept with some other guy at a party or something, problem solved. You have to think like a producer. Not saying that's what is gonna happen, but it is possible and whoever first thought of the idea is smart.

I don't think Edie will be dead because they only showed her feet hanging. It's possible that she's dead but they really left it so that someone could find her right away.

I don't think Gaby will be pregnant, because of season 2, but then again, all the producers have to do is mend it somehow because doctors aren't always right. Anything's possible! The finale was great.

I don't think Eddie died. I think Carlos will find her take her to the hopital, she will be fine and Carlos will feel guilty and stay with her.This will make Gabby very jealouse. I think that DH and Grey's Anatomy are the best shows to watch. I can't wait.
