They deserve at the least attentive judges. Simon is harsh - but he's honest. A true entertainer will appreciate that. What the kids don't need is the disrespectful Paula who (allegedly) looks drunk most of the time. What a poor example for the kids to take home with them, i.e., OK, I lost because she never really listened! And, I don't think an alleged drugged movie star should replace Paula either. Why not a "peer"? But, certainly someone in the music profession.

Love, 'American Idol' style

Whats with all the judging of Paula Abdul? If it comes to replacing Paula, then another female artist seems the smart choice, but someone who knows the business, knows music. But, AI takes time. Courney love is so not on the same page, on the same level, in the same league, nothing. AI can't ruin the reputation that it has built and risk its image on know-nothing drug addicts. If they can only find a wash-up like Love who is interested, then they should not choose a well-known colorful woman, they should choose some other behind the scenes producer who knows what she is talking about. Paula should just get her act together. The make-up of the judges is a perfect balance as it is.

Love, 'American Idol' style

Everybody is watching Paula's every move...give her a break. I like her and think she should not be replaced. Simon can be a real jerk, but I like him also. As many albums as Paula has made, people she has helped choreographed, including Janet Jackson, etc., she can't be to 'out of it'. I think that is her 'front' just as much as Simon's 'rudeness' is his.
Leave her alone and AI will be fine. I didn't know that. The times I've seen her, this is the only season that I've watched the show, she's been sweet and is still very cute. It's not that I want her thrown off the show. However, if she were to leave it for whatever reason, I'd wish her the best.

I guess I can agree that the female dynamic should not be lost, though his Ozzship would be great in my opinion, so for a female voice I'd definately back Lita Ford. She's still beautiful, has a powerful voice, and knows music.
Course, Sharon is not only a strong woman, but she is a professional manager. She knows talent when she hears it.

For the more modern talented suggestions, meaning Jewel; God, she's just lovely, I absolutely lust after her voice, and she was a wonderful guest judge. I just think that she's much to busy to be full time on "Idol".

I've never been into country, western, or whatever people like to call it now, so if the show decided to go that route I'd just have to take what's given.

By Ozzy's leave, I'll be going now. heh

Love, 'American Idol' style

Who to replace Paula?.... I believe that change is good.... Simon-I think you should be the announcer/host onstage with the contestants. Paula-my heart goes out to you with all the comments being said, but remember you've got to take care of yourself & care enough to do whatever it takes to fix whatever is broken in your life.... What a concept!

Listen, people.. those three judges see maybe 25 people total in a day. There are other stations where the other 4,975 get viewed by other judges. Haven't you ever heard the system?

I used to hate Paula. Great dancer, but a singer? Please. Then I learned of all the neck surgeries that affected her professional life and gave her a second chance. The contestants loved her because she was the 'supportive' one. Now she is no different from the other two, except one thing.. she has worn out her welcome. She has no experience in being a true critic of the industry. The second she chose to become more than just the 'supportive' judge, she lost me completely.

I think this might be the last Idol if they are smart. Other programs like Nashville Star are much better produced and smarter in their selection process. They can play an instrument, they get to write their own songs if they make it past a certain level.. things that really do push you into a career in this industry.

Clarkson played it really smart. Really smart. Can't say that for the rest of the winners except Underwood. Where are they? Sure as hell aren't on the charts. Just goes to show you coming in #1 doesn't necessarily make you a winner, does it?
